From Cottos last performance I say Diaz takes him in deep waters and tko's him.

        Diaz

I like him as well, but the problem with him is that he hasn't fought much lately as you guys pointed out.
And it's always-"The other guy's fault" that these fights don't happen.
Very good stamina and exceptional handspeed and reflexes for a lightweight, but no real knockout power.
I think he should beat Cotto, but I picked Lacy to stop Calzaghe as well, so that goes to show you how much I know.
I think Diaz may need a change in promoters and management as he has blown one complete year due to inactivity.
I don't think he can beat either Castillo or Corrales, though.
He is a very good fighter that I have seen since his amateur days, but he isn't ready for the elite level yet.
He may do well fighting the elder Cotto and perhaps Julio Diaz, or the Raheem-Freitas winner perhaps.
But Juan isn't beating any of the big boys right now.

not comparing the fighters memorex - but vargas was a young fighter brought along maybe to fast - so if jauns handlers want to bring the kd around slowly why push too fast- he needs a couple more fights anyhow- besides the fact the kid shows class and talks absolutely no ****- his handlers schedule the fights he shows up and fights

mystyal2k5 - he is fighting cottos younger bro
Jose Cotto is Miguel Cotto's Older brother not younger brother.

My thoughts exactly as far as placement of punches. By the way is Julio related to "Baby Bull"?

Anyway I'd much rather see Julio vs. Miguel @ 140lbs.

You have no clue as to what you speak.

Diaz is one of the hardest working gym **** that I've ever had the pleasure to meet, and especially work with. His chin is solid, his workrate is insane, and his heart is huge.

You say he fights washed up fighters, etc etc...you're going to blame him for this when all of his fights have been selected by Top Rank, and he's been getting ****ed around. He will get the chance to show some true skill come this time next month, that is a promise.
