Outside of Juan Manuel Marquez, are there any other choices for him? Or is that the choice for him?

"Well, you know, they're talking about Canelo Alvarez now. At the right weight, we'll fight him. Thing is, he's a much bigger guy than Manny usually. But if we can get a catchweight that'd be fair to both of them, I think it'd be a good fight. I'd love that fight. There's a lot of fights out there that I'd like Manny to fight, but since the promoters are against each other right now, they're hard to get.

"I hope (Marquez) isn't our only choice. Because, you know, we would love to fight Marquez one more time and get that off our back, but I don't think he'll fight Manny. He's turned us down, he turned down big money to fight Manny in a rematch. Well, I can't call it a rematch. ... I do hear rumors of Bob and Oscar talking. That sounds good to me!"

How does that fight play out? Canelo's a little bigger guy, I know Manny didn't want to fight at 154 anymore, because with the Margarito fight, he just felt that was too big a fight. How does that fight go?

"Without talking to Manny first, I think the biggest he can fight is 150. So, like, he made catchweight at that. But can the other guy come down that far? I know (Canelo) came down to 152 for Mayweather, but it's a hard decision to make. But I think there's a lot of obstacles in the way that need to be cleaned up between Oscar's company and Top Rank. Hopefully, everything works out, though."

Could Manny Pacquiao face Canelo Alvarez even if the promotional issues were settled? Freddie Roach says he thinks the fight could happen at 150 pounds, if Canelo could make that weight.

So Canelo would have to come down to 150, not 152. I call that avoiding risk. And then who did he pick...Algeri. If you say Algeri is a bigger risk to Manny @ 144, then you lose all credibility. Maidana is way more powerful then Algeri, and he came in last time 160-165 with a gang of KO's.
Pac was frank, that 8th division was too much for a midget to handle. Its not like he was 2x and current SWW champ (say only his 5th division) then demanded a catchweight to unify

I dont think Floyd is trying to duck Pac with his statesment's on negotiations. For once I honestly think floyd is telling the truth in that distractions for an upcoming fight will only hurt his performance and Mannys in November. He didn't say he wasnt up for the fight next year. When Manny said there was negotiations he probably ment the were between the networks. Regarding Pacman I hardly ever take Floyds side but in this case to be talking about a potential fight for next year is premature. Lets say Floyd said lets make the fight happen and Pac or he loses? that would complely change the outcome for 2015 and there would be backlash for Floyd potentialy not wanting to take the fight

I'm just sick of these blame game debates. Can't wait to see them retire or one of them loses their next fight. I prefer that Floyd's ducking rep stays for as long as he lives. Did he say Sept 2015 was his last fight? I'll be counting. Can't wait. I'm glad his fanboys continue to encourage him to duck the fight. Keep on homeys.

anyone that brings up that 40 mil offer knows nothing about boxing. That had to be shared with TR and Manny would've made app 27.5- barely more than he got for Bradley despite the fact the Mayweather fight would generate 2-3 times more.

Re the "old days" guys like SRR, Hearns, Duran and Hagler fought all comers and made tens of millions. Those were true fighters- legends. Mayweather is a great boxer but he can never be on the short list of ATGs when he so obviously ducked his biggest challenge with excuse after excuse for so many yrs.
Funny thing is - he would've made more $ and got more respect - even in a loss to Pac.

Pac ducked Canelo just like Mayweather ducked GGG. My point is that you cant duck a fighter whose not in ur weight class

Manny was offered 50/50 and walked out how can Floyd fight him when Manny left the table , fck off with your Floyd ducked him BS its was the other way around , Manny has only to say yes I agree to your terms instead of every offer just gets a I WANT MORE from the b side , you people are so delusional in the ways you just ignore fact .

As far as fighters from other eras , they never got anywhere near the money thats there today , its the internet age and the world changed because of it .
