i think he's always been like that. his size made a huge difference in the smaller weight classes, but now that guys are his size or slightly bigger than him, he stands in there toe to toe.
he might also be trying to grow away from the may weather image, and become his own man.
dudes good for boxingComment

the ultimate blood and guts warrior of boxing exaggerating a headbutt and trying to get his foe DQ'd

if he wanted a way out he could have taken it at any point in the fight.
at worst he was pulling that **** trying to save his record and his title because he was out of ideas, but not because he couldnt take the punishment. he proved that by staying in there and taking the punishment until the last bell.
again, if he wanted a way out he could have quit at any point. trying to steal a win isnt quitting, its nor admirable but its not quitting. i dont think anyone liked what they saw but that doesnt change the fact that he stood his ground and fought for 12 rounds like a warrior.Comment

If he was a warrior he wouldn't have put on that pity act IMO.if he wanted a way out he could have taken it at any point in the fight.

Broner was rolling around on the canvas vs chino trying to find a way out of the fight. blood & guts warriors dont try and find escape routes in fights.Comment
