There's nobody at 122 other than Frampton, Quigg, and Santa Cruz. And none of the 3 will fight Rigondeaux.

At 126 there's Walters, Lomachenko, Mares, Gradovich, Vetyeka, Gonzalez, and a Donaire rematch if Donaire wants it.

I like 7 chances to land a fight better than 3.

And if he can't land a big fight at 126 right away there's second tier guys like Billy Dib, Jesus Cuellar, and Rocky Juarez, which is still better than what's left at 122 after Frampton, Quigg, and Santa Cruz. And eventually those 3 will have to move up to 126 anyways.

He can't beat him anyway. Might as well defend his title against guys he can beat if that's what his fans want to see.

it's a sad day when the euro accountants show up to try and make an argument for the best fighter at 122 not getting a fight.

I think rigondeaux would be straight on a plane given half a chance of fighting frampton

I wanted to like Frampton but he proved he's a coward like the rest of them.

When was the last time a champion was as ducked as much as Rigo? He has two belts and the Ring Belt. He's definitely one he biggest names in that weight class. It's not like he brings nothing to the table. You get a chance to get two titles and go up against one of the greatest fighters ever.

You can't tell me there are 5 guys with a bigger name than Rigo. Quite honestly Framptons options are limited.

He has Quigg and LSC, after that no one is bigger or can bring more intrigue than Rigo. I mean Mares is available, but he's at 126.

Hearn and McGuigan, Quigg and Frampton all agree on ONE very basic fact.

Why are they going to pay a fighter who isn't a draw on TV or with tickets, to come and most certainly beat their fighter?

I'm not condoning it. But boxing is run by businessmen and that's why you won't see this fight. It's makes zero business sense. None.
