    Let's quickly analyse something.

We are not fighting to prove who is the best - check
Concerned about money over bragging rights - check
Worried about a fighter that could beat him - check

    Sounds like other familiar fighters.

Frampton gets his butt kicked VS Rigo. We know it, he knows it. No fight here unfortunately. Time to move on.

I'm not condoning it. But boxing is run by businessmen and that's why you won't see this fight. It's makes zero business sense. None.
I agree it's a business, but Rigo makes business sense.

You're telling me the 16,000 that showed up to watch the title fight with Kiko Martinez, all of a sudden won't show up to watch a fight with Rigo, especially considering the Rigo fight would be a unification and would determine the undisputed champion of the division?

      Nonsense!

Rigo is one of the biggest names at 122. When you hold two belts, and have headlined on HBO, people know about you.

To me this is code for "We want Carl to hold the title for as long as possible, and if he fights Rigo he will destroyed and we'll lose our star power"

I'm going to be paying attention to next few opponents Frampton chooses. I'm fine with a Quigg fight, a LSC, but it's anyone other than those guys, and his team tries to justify it, he's gonna get called out. There aren't 5 bigger names in that weight class than Rigo. Period.

If he fight s against Quigg first for bigger money and obviously less risk but after that he fights with Rigo, I'm okay with that. But if he beat Quigg and after that still doesn't want to challenge himself and prove that he is the best in his weightclass, then he is a duck, plain and simple.

This reminds me a little to the Stevenson situation, but somehow Frampton still gets pass from more users than Adonis.

Stevenson: 36 years old late bloomer, probably has just a few more years in boxing
Frampton: 27 years old, can esily bounceback from a defeat

Stevenson: Chose to go in Hopkins' (ONE belt at that time) direction instead of the less money fight in Kovalev (ONE belt). --> "Crucify him!"
Frampton: Choose Quigg ( NO belt) instead of the less money fight in Rigo (TWO belts) --> "That's business."

So honestly if Frampton won't fight Rigo after the Quigg fight which one is the worse duck?

There doesn't need to be 5 bigger names? What is this 5 bigger names stuff?

The fact is that there are bigger names so unless you're a complete moron, you take the bigger names and the bigger money first.

Shame for Rigo but that's life.

LOL @ the Framptards defending this duck move.

Rigo beat the man at 122 to become the lineal champion. He's the best at the weight. If Frampton wants to be considered the man at 122 he has to beat Rigo.

You said you'd turn down a million dollars to do a crossword.

Can we have some real people join the discussion?
And your analogy was bad. You claim to be a boxing fan, yet you dont wanna see your boytoy frampton fight rigo cuz theres no money. How about he fights him because he is regarded as the top fighter in the weight class AND he has two major championship titles. But you go ahead and support frampton to keep fighting weak opposition. Can we have some real boxing fans join the discussion?

I assume you pay to feed your family with "bragging rights", do you?

"Don't worry kids, daddy has no money but I'll pay for you to go to University with all the bragging rights I've got"

When you see these kind of interviews and the "is up to Haymon" quotes day-by-day from different (sometime likeable) fighters, then you can understand how big thing what Canelo does recently. It's not "up to his promoter" or advisor or coach or any kind of middlemen, he decides about his opponents and doesn't give a single fuck about the whining of his team and that's the good example what everyone should follow! If you have serious intentions in this sport you have to challange yourself and prove that you're the best, because the big money fights in their own ain't count shit in you legacy, the quality of the opponent is more important.

Loma already said no to a fight with rigo.
