Roman Gonzalez should be ahead of Rigo P4P

Segura vs. Gonzalez would be another one of my dream fights (Segura-Tyson Marquez was the other and that 100% lived up to my expectations).

The first Segura vs Calderon fight is one of my favorites of the past five years. Both him and Viloria would be interesting matchups for Gonzalez.

Flyweight really is a fun division at the moment.

I think there's a solid argument for this, but the Donaire win was really something. I know it's ****** to rank someone so high off of one win, but sometimes that's all you need to see how great a fighter is.

Dude, it's the other way around. GGG is like a bigger version of Gonzalez except with a crappier resume.

I can't wait for him to fight Estrada again as he keeps getting better. Or hell, if Segura wins tomorrow that would be an all out war too. I don't think it would go the distance.

At most, Golovkin attached some "Mexican/Latino school" elements to his "Russian school" fundamentals...
Rigo is the best example for the "Cuban school" -- which is minimalist and purist... and has nothing to do with the "Latino school"... hence Rigo being such a boring fighter to watch (even for my "standards")...

He's been a champion in multiple divisions now and his resume overall is deeper. Nothing against Rigondeaux because he is as skillful as they come...I just think Chocolatito is more proven and more accomplished at this point.

Against world class foes, the only one I saw seriosly win rounds against Roman was Estrada and that was 4 at most. I think we have seen more than enough to know he's in the discussion with anyone. Most destructive elite going; highly skilled and a killer.

There were people with Broner on their list screaming about how many titles he had and he never came close to beating anyone as good as Estrada or Yaegaahi. If dude fought on US TV this wouldn't even be a question.

Nothing against rigo but I never felt Donaires did much. He arguably fought guys much smaller than him up too the rigo fight. Roman definitely belongs in the top 10

I fully admit to not knowing enough to know exactly how good everyone Gonzalez has fought is. The fighters I do know about, Gonzalez has destroyed. You only need watch a few of his fights to see that he is one of the best and most complete fighters in the sport. There's no way anyone can name 5 better. He's a really great fighter.
