He would have never went along with that. What ever happens to Lacy i dont think he would want to go out with a fake injury.

ANYBODY who thinks Jeff's power is not OVERRATED doesnt know what they are looking at. I am NOT saying he isn't a strong puncher... I am saying he is far the class of a Hearns, Jackson or Foster. A mans power is determined on the efect it has on its target and Jeff has hurt people, made them quit but he doesnt OBLITERATE them like those guys and others did. I never have sour g****s as you call it. I give all credit where all credit is due. I know Jeff can punch, of course but I am not a mere fan that just sees big swings and big muscles and listens to what other fan and writers procalim people as. I go by what I SEE. The proof is ALWAYS in the pudding.

I have another question for you, about Dan Birmingham.

What do you think of him as a trainer? Personally, I've never been a fan of his, and this was amplified last night. He didn't really offer Lacy a whole lot of help, he just kept telling him to straighten his right, as if that were the problem. And when he saw his fighter was in so much danger he didn't pull him out of there. To me, both are signs of a bad trainer, but moreso this: Lacy wasn't ready in any way for Calzaghe. Dan didn't have him working his jab, he didn't have him doing anything that he'd have to do against Calzaghe. I can't recall Jeff throwing more than five jabs the whole fight, but I digress. What do you think of Dan as a trainer?

As far as Jeff's power goes, not so much to you, but to others who have been questioning it. Both times he landed on Calzaghe cleanly, Calzaghe went reeling back. A couple more hits and we might have had Lacy by KO, but Calzaghe fought too intelligently.

Calz said Jeff had no powerlast night. and reelingbackfrom a punch doesnt mean a thing, really, you know? When Tommy Hearns hits you flush you didn't go reeling, you went straight down. As far as Birmingham he may be a very good trainer, who really knows? I question it thoughwhen Jeff has obvious flaws that have not been corrected but that is esier said than done. I have heard that many say Dan didn't give great corner instructions and I don't know forsure but it could be something that many do not realize and that is that there are good cornerman and there are good trainers. Some guys can train a fighter great but hey don't have good corner skills and some are the opposite. There IS a difference

Lacy was not overrated, Calzaghe was underrated plain and simple.Or maybe it was just a case of Joe not being properly motivated for his last few fights and he just got up for this one.I think Jeff may have taken JC a little lightly although I'm doubtful it would have changed anything.I think Lacy can bounce back from this a still do big things. He is still young.

Birmingham is a fine trainer. He told Lacy to do the right thing, and Lacy choked, was thwarted by Joe, and/or was inept.

Dan told him go to the body. Jeff didn't.
Dan said throw combos. Jeff didn't.
                Dan said jab. Jeff didn't.
                Straighten punches. Jeff didnt.

The trainer can only tell you what to do. Jeff did not execute.

he def. is not in the league of trainer of the yearDan def. help build up up Jeff and Winky but he should have stop the fight after the 7th or 8th round ...I think Jeff was having sex up until the night of the fight he was traveling with a new girl
everyone knows how hot young new ***** can make you forget about all your chores in life. I think Jeff took a mental neurological beating he will never recover from...he was pretty punch drunk after the fight he should not spar or fight for at least a year his brain took a beating big time....

First off. Oscar De La Hoya admitted to having sex prior to his fights, I don't think that had any effect on him.

And secondly.....did you install a voyeur camera in his room?

Sex actually gives me more energy. I don't like when boxers use the sex excuse.
