i do think broner won the fight. at the very least, it was no robbery. it was boring, and i haven't seen it in a while. he was also very young at the time, only 21 or so, IIRC.

Garbage defence? his defence is well above average. I agree his footwork is a weakness especially at higher weight classes where he can't bully the smaller guys by standing right in front of them.

What makes him talented other than his speed is his great awareness of using subtle moves on the inside to land his shots as shown against Demarco. Of course not everyone will fight him the way Demarco did so he does need to make improvements but i'm still convinced he can become great, i'm don't see Broner as an exposed fighter just because he lost to Maidana.

He's an offensive fighter who waddles around the ring trying to hold a defensive posture. It looks ridiculous, but then he vaguely looks like Floyd to a casual audience and that seems to be more important.

Hahah lol....thats a good analysis coming from the perspective that he is a mess. And he is a mess doa.

He is no Zab Judah...When Judah was coming up he had the boxing pundits creamin in their jammies, the guy had the physical talents of a Roy Jones, and then blew it.... mostly because unlike other fighters who seem to have no heart, like Vlad.....Judah did go fight decent comp, and once he was exposed, and every tom **** and harry knew that if you could avoid the spaz for a few rounds and tolerate his ole man's grunting and punching, Zab would beat himself...Vlad's solution was to hold and hope that the heavyweight division, with a few guys to avoid, is easy these days!

Bronner does not operate at that level, but he is also not as foldable as a Vlad or a Zab.

So what are Bronner's talents? He has good power for his size WHEN he fights down....Not so sure if it carries. he has good speed and durability. He can mix it up well. He does have heart. Bit no Bronner is not outstanding. And he needs a lot of work. I doubt he goes anywhere.

It was a robbery. I don't see how anyone could say otherwise. PDL clearly outboxed and outlanded Broner in nearly all rounds. He was young and PDL has some underrated craft - that was a potential learning fight for Broner win or lose and it turns out he didn't learn a thing from it.

Time for my soft side to come out in aid of AB, "Yuh kno' AB, Always Ballin".

Broner simply did not belong at 147' he should have remained at 135 I think that was his best and strongest weight, Broner himself says he hated losing weight, not because he struggled to make 135, he was just not disciplined enough.

140' I don't know, he probably gets beaten by Postol, stopped by Matthysse, and outslugged by Peterson.

He has incredibly eyecatching combination work but he just does not implement it often enough in his game.

and other than that he's a dickhead, but a pretty funny one.

this is hogwash. especially toward the end, broner was landing the better shots.

you're also not seeing improvement when it is there. he was definitely a better fighter at 130 lbs by the time he grew out of the division. he improved tremendously.

not sure i can take you seriously on broner any longer, brih.

Be that as it may, or may not be....the jury is still out on how much power Bronner can carry as he moves up in weight. I agree with the majority of posters regarding Bronner's offensive mind set. Indeed, he should just become an offensive minded fighter, its the way his mind works.

At the lower weight classes power is the Holy Grail. Bronner won't know if his power can carry until he gets his sh111t together and stops trying to fight like Floyd. On a mental level Bronner has no mind for subtlety. He has also been very lucky in decisions such as the Daniel Ponce decision. If Bronner can exist below 147 and show power then he has some good offensive tools...He is no great talent though, never was and never will be.

his defense isnt garbage at all, its average at worst. thats not so much talent as a learnt skill anyways as is footwork.

his hand speed like mentioned but also reflexes, coordination, power, chin and most of all he is a natural born fighter. all in all he is very talented, not on the level of a mayweather or a dawson but very talented none the less.

I wouldn't say he isn't talented but he has a ton of really bad habits for someone who was sold so hard as the next big thing. I can't stand watching him tiptoe backwards in a straight line and get nailed over his half assed should roll.
