I like seeing them take their big shot when they're still in their 20s after a good amateur career. Even if they lose they can climb their way back up for another 10 years.

At least its better for us spectators than watching guys fight bums for their entire career then take one big retirement superfight.

Opponent seems durable...I wonder how hard he punches though since he couldn't KO Flo Simba.

WBO Inter-Continental belt is not vacant, its being held by Krzysztof Glowacki from Poland and WBO just sanctioned his next fight as a title defense, and, given he wins, he will fight Nuri Seferi for a mandatory spot.

That being said Huck is moving up to HW so Glowacki can probably fight whoever for the vacant title.

Unless there are more than one WBO inter-continetal belt bcs **** logic.

PS: I'm not high on Huck. If Usyk is that good how people claim him (I don't watch amateur boxing) he will beat him.
Huck is a big task for seasoned pros, nevermind someone with such little pro experience, no matter how good in the amateurs - let's not try and downplay this here. It's an extremely dangerous fight for Usyk. Perhaps winnable, which would speak to his quality as opposed to Huck's lack thereof.

I like how confident and proud some of these amateurs are, but fighting a few opponents within the top 15 to gain pro experience would seem the better way than to immediately jump in level of pro opposition to a title holder who is very tough to beat...

Great way too ruin a top prospect rushing them too soon. Usyk has 4 fights against total duds and only been as far as 5 rounds once not inc the WSB.

What is the rush? He is completely untested. Did they not learn a thing from rushing Lomachenko to a title shot way too soon? Usyk needs time to transition and grow.

I don't see why after Bruwer they don't put him in with some durable minimal risk fighters who will give him rounds like Taylor, Seferi. Some good honest pros all the while building the fight.

Idk man i personaly dont want them to rush him, but it depends on how he looks agaisnt bruwer, If he destroys him he should fight somebode out of the at least top 10.
