It wouldn't make sense to even try to go against Floyd Mayweather on that date anyways. The first Saturday of June works out perfectly for Cotto vs. Canelo and people will have the disposable income for that fight. It should do over 500k PPV buys.
You are an idiot. Your rambling doesn't make sense and who would floyd fight thats bigger than cotto-canelo?

Cotto hasnt mentioned any names. Arum brought up bradley, rios is the one that said cottos name and jmm was brought up by his fans.

That would imply that Canelo would not be next AND he will not fight Canelo in May. I don't even see Cotto fighting in June if that's true.
        Hhhmmmm mayweather-cotto 2??? Probably not.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto takes a fight in January before his May fight with Canelo

He said early next year, early is not May and who is to say he even fights on Cinco de Mayo if Mayweather does end up fighting Floyd? Maybe they make the fight the weekend of the PR parade in June in NYC. If Cotto were to fight in Jan. or Feb. there's plenty of rest for a June fight.

Who does Cotto fight? Bradley, IBF MW Champ, ?????

^ a jan-feb fight would give Cotto plenty of rest provided Cotto picks the right opponent. the Soliman-Taylor winner does make sense, plus it would be a unification, and maybe keep Cotto's WBC belt around for that clash with Canelo in May-June

a March PPV fight with Canelo does seem unlikely, it looks like they'll go for someone over matched.

**why don't you think Cotto will fight in June? I'd figure Cotto will use the first fight to line up a bigger opponent for May or June, why not?

true, but that doesn't mean Cotto will fight him. GGG's best bet is if he could appear on Cotto's co-feature.

Nobody can seem to answer this, so I'll ask yet again.

Why do people keep saying Cotto/Mayweather II is going to happen, when Cotto is contracted with Arum? Is Mayweather suddenly going to deal with Arum after he kept going on and on about not fighting Pac because of Arum.

If Mayweather fights Cotto with Arum being involed, Mayweather will cement his legacy as the biggest duck in the history of boxing.

                      Smart move by Cotto.

A guy like Lee didn't seem to pose too huge a threat, but neither did Austin Trout.
