Even if Ortiz actually turns out to be good, it doesn't change the fact that he hasn't exactly been brought in to be competitive with Matthysse. He's been picked to make him look good.

Taylor certainly seems to be a step up from Broner's last fight

Whereas I'd say Ortiz is a step down for Matthysse from John Molina.

That's a great comparison actually. He proved he's a decent fighter though with solid skills even if his power was exaggerated, but lacks the mentality of an elite fighter.

Do you consider this a step up from John Molina for Matthysse?

It's not the best fight to be made for Matthysse. He wanted a bigger name. Broner didnt want it, Garcia will never rematch him.

It's a solid fight if you have watched Ortiz at all. He's a top ten contender.

Taylor has lost twice, 3 times and 2 straight if you count the robbery in his last fight. It's not a better fight no matter how you spin it. Just because Broner fought a bigger bum then Molina Jr in his last fight doesnt mean his fight is automatically better. What kind of dumbass reasoning is that?

You didn't answer my question and that wasn't my reasoning. My reasoning is stated in the OP.

What kind of dumbass reasoning is it to say that a guy who has fought nothing but toilet cleaners in Mexico is better than a guy whose actually fought, competed with and beaten decent opposition?

I wouldn't expect anything else from you though.

Carlos Molina had only lost once to the great Amir Khan.

John Molina had lost several times and had been knocked out.

                Carlos Molina > John Molina

From me? ****, only discussions Ive had with you previously is your love for Khan.

What decent fighter has Taylor beat. He surely didnt win his last fighter. And Mayfield hasnt done **** either.

Taylor has fought better op, but has lost against them all. That proves nothing. If anything it tells us what Taylor is already. With Ortiz we don't know. His tape looks good, he's big and can punch.

Just because Broner isnt that good and is fighting a guy slightly above the absolute bum he fought last time out, doesnt make it a better match up.

The fact that Taylor has been in with Algieri, Mayfield and Cayo (2 wins, 1 loss) makes him a better opponent than someone who has been fighting bin men.

You were too dumb to understand the post

The point was that you mention that Taylor has lost a few times and that Ortiz is unbeaten so that automatically makes him better even though Taylor has mixed in higher company

Using that logic, Carlos > John. Amirite?
