It is common for elite fighters of the past and present to seek advantages even if they thought their opponent was easy. Sometimes it is done out of pure ego (being a diva or control freak). That's just the way it is.

excuse me if my observation is off but ive always gave the pac man fans who complain about the die hard floyd fans for making threads and always bashing pac man a chance and actually heard them out... but ive been looking at the boards (unbiasedly) for a while and i notice the hard core pac fans or may haters constantly make threads about him and bring him up in a negative light alot more often than the hard core floyd fans do pac, daily there is at least 5 floyd bashing threads and some are deleted on top of this there is constant name calling amongst other things that make it hard to even post comments and i understand alot of this is from the new found maidana fans...

Yes, I think floyd gets far more ridiculous scrutiny like this thread. Rome's point is fair-it goes with the territory.
