I think they'll both be better. That favors Carl IMO. He's still quicker and better defensively. I think this sequel tops the original for thrills and that's high praise because the first was a good fight.

Kiko has a lot of experience for a guy his age, he's still relatively young. (29 I think) but he's been around the block, he's been all over the world gaining experience.

He's coming off 3 impressive KOs back to back and is at the top of his game.

There are three, on paper, legit FOTY caliber main events within about 36 hours of each other. And Ortiz-Matthysse might end up being something too. Epic weekend.

Martinez has fought a ton of guys and he's a bear. I just think the speed that beat him first time is still there. Frampton comes after him feeling a little full early though and this thing could go nuts.

yeah that really derailed the media attention. The klit pulev fight may have been decent too.

Shame no outlet like nbc or espn has someone with enough boxing knowledge to say-hey guys these are the kinds of fights we should be showing.

I had hoped with more outlets the smaller weights would get more exposure.

BeIn Sports is on a lot of TVs. People just don't know it. Check local listings. Same with AWE...I didn't have it, couldn't order it for a long time. Now, it's on my basic package.

I have those channels so I'm good. I just wish networks that want to expand boxing actually do that through showing fights from different classes and highlight great fighters from weights that we don't see on HBO/SHO regularly.

I thought CBS showing Santa Cruz was a great 1st step, but it didn't lead to anything. I was hoping espn/nbc followed suit.

As long as its on, I'm happy but I agree it would be great to broaden the appeal in US English speaking markets. Carbajal was a highlight of the 90s, even as often an under attraction.

In the 80's and 90's you could always get good smaller weight fights on TV. Shame now because networks looking to build boxing back up need to start with great fights.

Besides, the budget would be amazingly low. Imagine what you could do at 122/126 with $1.5-2 million dollars?
