I want to hear your opinions about pad work they do in FMJ gym.
Don't you think the long-term effect of these soft quick touches may be that a boxer gets immersed in implementing the drill in the ring during the actual fight and gets hit with a baseball bat punch and therefore can no longer continue the drill? Lol
I mean Mayweather seniors got caught like that, Mayweather current boxers (J Leon Love, Bey, Badou) get caught like that with their hands low. I think implementing the drill is actually more risky that it is perceived, and it requires FMJ awareness, instincts, reaction and conditions to not get hit with a ****er. They often are keeping their hands low when doing the drill and raising them whenever they see or feel a punch coming. It looks spectacular but what if they don't see a punch coming?
So if you are not elite (i.e. not Floyd) maybe you should just think the drill's long term impact coupled with a sense of false security may lead to brutal KO losses?
