I get the feeling that Canelo and Cotto are setting up to face eachother, that's all I can think of at this point. I really hope that's the case cause like you, I would have rather Kirkland as well.Comment

Seems tentatively set for May. Both guys will take an easy fight, they don't want to blow it again like Cotto did losing to Trout.
Can't get too mad at Alvarez for fighting Clottey. I don't like it, but he's been on a good run and Golden Boy doesn't want any chance of him messing up. While I think Alvarez would blast Kirkland, I guess that risk is still there.Comment

I think this is almost too favorable of a match up for Canelo, he won't have to work to get his punches off as Clottey will be right in front of him, I also see him taking breathers when he feels like it.Comment

Kirkland has no business in the ring with Canelo. He's been inactive and he doesn't defend himself. Canelo is too smart to get hit with one of his haymakers. That's just cruel. I love wars too but not one sided beatdowns.Seems tentatively set for May. Both guys will take an easy fight, they don't want to blow it again like Cotto did losing to Trout.

Andrade isn't ready and is not getting a decision with the Cotto fight in the works. There is no intrigue.
This is really a stay busy fight until May.Comment

The Kirkland fight, my intrigue is strictly based off what happens if Kirkland gets out of the 3rd or 4th round, his durability seems to get better as the fight proceeds as weird as that sounds. I still think Canelo takes him out late, if it gets there.Seems tentatively set for May. Both guys will take an easy fight, they don't want to blow it again like Cotto did losing to Trout.

No lie, even though Cotto takes Lee out in my opinion, I wouldn't be surprised if they go for a far lesser threat. Lee can still punch, he also has a good uppercut. I don't think I can complain though, I'm down for anything that makes Cotto-Canelo

^^^^^ThisI sometimes wonder if people really follow this sport, Clottey is not a puncher and this isn't a dangerous fight for Canelo at all. He'll penetrate through Clottey's guard with his combination punching, break Clottey down to the body, it's gonna be vintage Canelo. Clottey doesn't have the style, counter punching, power or activity to compete.
Canelo lands the left hook to the body all night long. Showcase fight which he will get **** for but undeservedly so in my opinion considering his recent run of opponents and the obvious intention of a mega fight with Cotto next year.Comment

I couldn't agree more. I've thought Alvarez would destroy Kirkland for years. I hate that everyone says "if Kirkland gets out of the early rounds" no matter who he fights. I don't like that fight at all.Kirkland has no business in the ring with Canelo. He's been inactive and he doesn't defend himself. Canelo is too smart to get hit with one of his haymakers. People actually think Kirkland might drag Golovkin into a war "if he gets past the first couple of rounds." Bull****. Dude wouldn't even get out of the first.Comment
