Clottey ? Really? No wonder this wont be PPV. Canelo always talks about fighting the best competition available. Well kirkland would have been much better. Clottey is basically a tune up. I'll never forget how he only threw like 5 punches per round v PAc.

      Clotty still fighting?

Still not forgetting he really beat Cotto.

Just needs to make sure he doesn't eat dodgy curry the night before!

I;m a big Canelo fan, but there is no supporting this fight.
        It's lame.
If their goal is to not fu** up a possible match up with Cotto in May, then might as well not fight.

Canelo stunk up the show in his last match, and Mexicans have turned on him in the past year, he needs a show case fight vs someone with a name.....So Canelo has to fight................

I wouldn't exactly call Canelo's string of opposition horrible.

I disagree that he stunk up the show. His dancing partner or should I say running partner was responsible for that.

He does need to fight, but not with Joshua Clottey. Most people last remember how Clottey stunk up the joint against Pacquiao.

I'd rather see him move up to 160.

                  No, it's far from terrible.
But a fight with Clottey is a step back. They might as well make the move to 160 now, and fight someone at that weight.

Meh, fight gets made, I'll tune in.

I've liked Clottey, so it was pretty damn frustrating watching his performance against Pac.

I'd pick Canelo to win, but if Clottey shows up throwing more then 4 punches a round, could be a decent scrap.

At this point in Clottey's career he is just a name to be added in some top fighters record. Everybody already knows what he is all about
