Canelo will gass himself out on Clottey's guard, until Clottey pressures him to death and eventually knocks him out.

Everybody goes in there thinking Clottey is a come forward fighter that is hittable; Canelo will be sorrily disappointed.

Lara didn't get robbed...Ring Generalship doesn't add up to Running...

Although Canelo wasn't an effective aggressor...he was the aggressor so that by default wins out over running aka not Ring Generalship...

I just hope you're a Lara fan...if you're a boxing fan..then what category of scoring do you put running under...I hope it's not ring generalship..because you'd be part of the reason of what's wrong with boxing...

        Not true imo.

Cotto may not have been against the idea of fighting Rubio but I doubt he particularly wanted him. And Rubio didn't want to sit around waiting for Cotto's decision.

And given how lucky Cotto was to escape with a win vs Clottey last time around, I really don't think he wanted Clottey.

As for Canelo vs Clottey, good fight but a lot of posters are overselling Clottey based on the Mundine fight. Yes, it was extremely satisfying to see Mundine get his delusional a.ss kicked, but that win doesn't make Clottey a world beater or a huge puncher. I'm picking Canelo by clear UD. Clottey will make him work for it, but I don't see him winning. Lateral movement is the bane of Canelo's existence, and he doesn't have enough of it.

I sometimes wonder if people really follow this sport, Clottey is not a puncher and this isn't a dangerous fight for Canelo at all. He'll penetrate through Clottey's guard with his combination punching, break Clottey down to the body, it's gonna be vintage Canelo. Clottey doesn't have the style, counter punching, power or activity to compete.

I like this fight. I always liked clottey style. I just hope he gets hit mental game in there and fights every second of the fight.

Clottey is coming off a good win over Anthony Mundine where he dropped Mundine around 4-5 times.
if offensive fighting machine like pac can barely drill to that double guard, i doubt canelo can do much. just like the other poster said ,it will be an ugly fight both fighter love fighting in the booth with canelo slightly better at offense and clottey slightly better at defense but more powerful.

i predict cuts and a lot of holding, canelo can win this if he's not gassed out.

Exactly and he's so one paced in fights even if hes in with a chance of winning (the Cotto fight) he never steps up his output.

Especially not anymore. Alvarez will smack him around for 12 and make an easy buck.

Kind of a disappointing fight. I wonder why Kirkland isn't happening now, I don't like the Kirkland fight but it's still better than this.

Clottey is a 37 year old light middleweight. Canelo is going to bomb him out and TKO him.
