Yes, he is. Best LHW in the world and a P4P fighter. He beats Ward, Adonis, Hopkins and anyone else at or around 168-175. IMO
Future GOAT LHW if he gets the fights and I truly mean that.
I'm a Kovalev fan and I am not a Matthysee fan, nor am I or ever have been a Trinidad fan.

I hope so....Nard is a unique individual and has been impressive over a long period of time. He's a hard worker and dedicated to his craft. He does not get sidetracked with problems out of the ring. That is his greatest attribute. I also think he has done a tremendous job in managing his own career. He's been an amazing match maker for himself. That said, I do see him as a bit of a conman. Many shady defenses at 160 (against weak & small opponents), feigning pain at low blows and rabbit punches a la Calzaghe and Jones 2. The Robert Allen 1 fiasco where he seemed in jeopardy of a loss and feigned the ankle injury. And the Dawson 1 shoulder caper. So I see Nard as competent, smart with some elements of being a "ConMan" all thrown in together. His match making skills have proved mostly excellent but I think he made a mistake with Kovalev. I think Nard has a bias against white punchers and white fighters in general. He thinks they are soft, ****** and inferior. He doesn't see Kovalev as anything special. But I strongly believe BHOP has made a terrible miscalculation on this one. Kovalev IS special and he is the ultimate destroyer and will be the 1st to stop Hopkins. If Hopkins wins, I will never say another negative thing about him again. That's my promise.Comment

I don't think he is great and no where near Hopkins. But you have to give a man respect that is much younger and KOing most of his opponents. The reason Hopkins is getting all this credit is not because Krusher is so great but because Hopkins is willing to take on the GGG of that division at almost 50.
I like Tito and BHop.
BHop not only deserved credit when he was young but deserves credit every time he fights AT THAT AGE.
BHop is great even without the Tito win. If anything Tito wasn't even his greatest win on his resume.
Tito was no middleweight, fighting the last 7 of his fights in that weight division and losing 3.Comment

If Kovalev wins, one of the best parts will be a recent high-profile example of someone considered a puncher beating someone considered a boxer. I imagine that will probably limit the number of cases of people reducing every ****ing fight between a puncher and a boxer to LM-Garcia. It seems to me that some people think they're rematching rather than it being different people in Kovalev and Hopkins fighting.Last edited by Levity; 08-29-2014, 04:47 PM.Comment
