For hardcore fans, the idea of seeing both in their primes face off is as good as it was going to get and obviously it's gone.

But for casuals, these two have gone on to become more and more popular each year. The idea that this is 5 years in the making is an even more easy sellout ( not that the fight really needs selling), all the "bad blood", tension, drama, whose ducking who etc make this fight in my opinion bigger then it was 5 years ago.

It would still be boxings biggest fight, but it's not where it was a few years ago.

5 years to late sure but people have to stop kidding with themselves, no fight is bigger then this, it will be the biggest sporting event of the year and arguably the biggest fight in the history of this sport and ironically the delay is making it bigger and bigger.

Arum is trying his best to keep Pac's name in the headlines hoping it will help him sell the Algieri fight... I doubt it's going to work...

Arum is such a control freak that he'd rather lose money promoting a Pac fight than share promtion...

This fight will not happen for two reasons... Mayweather still won't take the risk and Arum wants to keep Pac in-house...
