Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum would love to stage not one, but two fights next year between welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Arum told The San Francisco Chronicle that both networks, HBO and Showtime, are interested in staging the fight early next year. Mayweather has an exclusive multi-fight deal with Showtime and Pacquiao fights under HBO. But Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, believes the fight is big enough where both networks will work together side by side - as they did several years ago for the heavyweight super-fight between Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is still very interested in facing Floyd Mayweather Jr., who holds the WBC/WBA titles at 147 and 154. The fight has been talked about for at least five years. The negotiations have either fallen apart or never got serious. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said his boxer will no longer wait around for a Mayweather fight. Pacquiao will continue forward, fight by fight. If Mayweather wants to face him the phone line is open, says Roach.

Manny Pacquiao is still willing to face Floyd Mayweather, but is not prepared to wait for his rival to make a decision about a future fight. The two superstars are the biggest names in boxing, but repeated attempts to arrange a blockbuster bout have ended in failure, with neither side able to agree terms. Both fighters have other opponents to think about as Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri on November 23, while Mayweather is preparing for a rematch against Marcos Maidana on September 13.

They couldn't even make the fight once from 2009-2014, but in 2015 it will happen TWICE. All this time it was as simple as just having both HBO and Showtime air it together.
