It sounds fishy. Again, as said in the past....there is no reason for the IRS to lock Manny up. Yes they do that but...its counter to them bleeding him. better to have him earn and pay. usually the IRS settlement procedures exist because best to get 2 million dollars on a multimillion dollar settlemen than nothing.
What one cannot logically predict is the counterpart to the IRS in the Filipines. This group does not present as logical driven, or as any group with credability.Comment

i think i'll wait for that tell all book from ariza.I don't even know why I'm wasting time with you. You decided his taxes were paid when he posted that picture of himself holding a sheet of paper. I read in an article that Manny is far and away the wealthiest congressman over there. Who are these political rivals that could out spend/bribe him? Then you have the laughably audacious claims that his political rivals over there somehow hold sway over the American IRS. Some Benguet province political rival manipulating the American Internal Revenue Service into investigating Pacquiao for years before moving on him for delinquent taxes. Over what, some ****ty congressional election in Philippines? The whole idea is just so outlandishly ******, only a pacfan would be naive enough to believe it.Comment

$18.7mil is not a few dollars.. yeah its gonna take years for the IRS to finally go after manny LOL!!!!The thing with floyd was he didn't take taxes out of checks he was given for fights-which is his employment. Manny very easily could've taken too little out or none at all. SOmetimes it takes awhile, that's why you are recommended to keep at lest 7-10 years of tax returns.Comment

I'm not gonna pretend to know much about economics, certainly the economics in the Phillipines, but it's not a stretch to believe these countries' governments are corrupt. I would imagine if he was doing some illegal shit then a more extreme course of action would have been taken, i.e. an arrest.Comment

It's not the IRS. Manny paid taxes to the IRS but the corrupt Phillipines government wants their cut so that's the dispute. They probably arbitrarily "invented" a new tax stipulation just for him.
If I were Manny I'd say "thank you, goodbye" and move all my cash out of there into a Swiss bank account.Comment

pac, presently is with the other political group that runs opposite the ruling party...It sounds fishy. Again, as said in the past....there is no reason for the IRS to lock Manny up. the bir case as i see it is really outlandish, to say the least...
granting pac has not submitted the "acceptable docs from irs", it is vey foolish for the bir to charge pac the price of the whole pie; as it is very unlikely the irs let pac fight in the u.s without paying a penny on the period under question...
the previous bir admin let people pay/settle their back taxes quietly...but...
politics is really what put pac in this hole...Comment
