He will walk away, unscathed. Possibly with a laughable settlement. Everyone knows this particular case is a political scandal.

pac's problem was he didn't show proof (or he did but not the exact documents the tax agency wanted) for his tax payments in the US.
because of that failure the agency didn't recognize his US taxes and assessed him large amounts of tax deficiencies including interests and penalties. with higher tax rates in the US though than in the Philippines, there's no question there's enough to cover his taxes in the Philippines.
the tax agency is going after pac based on technicalities and matters of documentation but he doesn't really owe them that much. pac would not be able to collect his purses in the states without paying the irs.Comment

They're two separate cases. I don't know enough about the BIR to speculate on the troubles there, but the IRS has their own issues with him. Judging by the corruption I've read about over there, anything is possible. The IRS slapped an $18.7 million dollar tax lien on him here in the US for their own uncollected taxes. These things can take years as Pacquiao fights it and will likely eventually settle. They're not going to lock you up even with tax warrants out, they don't work like arrest warrants.Comment

yeah it takes years sepcially if someone is said to owe $18.7mil in unpay taxes, LOL.. i guess their waiting until manny retired then they can really fork the money out of him right? The thing with floyd was he didn't take taxes out of checks he was given for fights-which is his employment. Manny very easily could've taken too little out or none at all. SOmetimes it takes awhile, that's why you are recommended to keep at lest 7-10 years of tax returns.Comment

I don't even know why I'm wasting time with you. You decided his taxes were paid when he posted that picture of himself holding a sheet of paper. I read in an article that Manny is far and away the wealthiest congressman over there. Who are these political rivals that could out spend/bribe him? Then you have the laughably audacious claims that his political rivals over there somehow hold sway over the American IRS. Some Benguet province political rival manipulating the American Internal Revenue Service into investigating Pacquiao for years before moving on him for delinquent taxes. Over what, some ****ty congressional election in Philippines? The whole idea is just so outlandishly ******, only a pacfan would be naive enough to believe it.Comment

Hard to be concerned when you have a bunch of leeches around you telling you everything will be okay, and you're too ignorant to know otherwise.Comment
