If Mathysse gets knocked out by Ortiz ..

the problem with good chins is that they look good until they aren't.
Just because Lucas got hurt against Molina doesn't mean he didn't have a good chin before, but it does bring out the possibility that it's not that good anymore. And yeah he's not a brawler he boxes well, so that should help.
Maybe it was one night and a combination of factors. We'll find out.Comment

see, that's a dumb point. Broner was fighting ponce de leon and gavin rees not too long ago.
Broner's chin looked good until he faced someone his own size. Lucas faced a consistently line of solid boxers who were his size and who tested his chin.
Broner more or less failed his first chin test. Lucas passed his first ones.

Wasn't he trapped against the ropes after being pushed down against Danny? Didn't he get hit behind the head against Molina? The first kd against Molina was legit, and Molina did hurt him in the first round though. Happy now?
To answer your question, I don't know what will happen to him if he loses to Ortiz. How would anyone know? He may retire, or as you said be forced to take a sink-or-swim fight against a dangerous fighter. Who knows really? Fan-friendly fighters like Matthysse are always given more chances than the others.Comment

because it's not a good point.
Broner's chin failed him when he got to face someone his own size. it was his first test and he barely survived.

It scares me that you're serious about that statement ... He got caught square on the chin tried to counter got spun into the ropes took a big punch to body while simultaneously being tangled in the ropes and TOOK A KNEE to avoid taking any further punishment ... The fact he TOOK KNEE is something I haven't even touched on but that's pretty telling too... I don't even want to get into the rest of the **** you wrote because you're too far gone to be saved and I honestly stopped reading after the first sentence...Wasn't he trapped against the ropes after being pushed down against Danny? Didn't he get hit behind the head against Molina? The first kd against Molina was legit, and Molina did hurt him in the first round though. Happy now?

Broner jumped 2 divisions to fight Maidana and was dropped 2 times in his 4th division..Lucas has been dropped more in his 1st divisionsee, that's a dumb point. Broner was fighting ponce de leon and gavin rees not too long ago.
