  • If Mathysse gets knocked out by Ortiz ..

What does it mean for the rest of his career ? Retirement ? Gatekeeper status ? Feed him to the wolves (Thurman etc..). I ask because while I'm not too sure it will happen this fight I'm positive his days are numbered and he's going to get sparked out within the next two years ... How do you see the rest of his career going when/if that happens ?

    That's an AWFULLY BIG IF.

A more likely but still big IF is what happens to Floyd if Chino knocks him out...

Lel...Lucas will probably walk through Roberto...

Lucas's days are nearly up for one simple reason...he is coming out of prime & will need to move up to 147 soon which isn't his natural weight...pretty sure he will retire when that time comes within the next 2 years. For now he will continue to kick ass. He has as many years left in him as he likes...although he (like Maidana) both seem to want to settle down and leave world stage boxing soon...they prefer to fight at home.

Fight him again for the trilogy and still make a ton of money ... And you think Floyd is more likely to get ko'd than Mathysse ? Lucas has been dropped 3 times in his last two fights ... This kid can punch I don't see why it's so unlikely. Either way Mathysse is getting up there in age and his style usually isn't conducive to having a long career I'm thinking within the next two years he's getting ko'd ... If not his very next fight and a "star" is born.

I wouldn't worry about Lucas's chin if I were you lol...

Matthysse may have got knocked down twice (cough flash knockdown & back of head punch) but who was the one getting beat up in that fight? Molina...and badly.

there are lots of fights you could watch & claim the same bs. "oh look he got dropped his career is finished" LOL

I'm not worried about anything I'm not the one in the ring getting hit ... No one is talking about Floyd, Maidana, the excuses for Lucas getting dropped 3 times in 2 fights... The question is simple if it brings you too much pain to even think about answering hop on another thread. But the days of Lucas being an unstoppable force are gone ... Not that they ever REALLY existed to begin with... But that's another story.

have you seen lucas KDs?? i mean, floyd's uncalled KD against judah is more legit that the one from the garcia fight, and the second from the molina fight is punch behind the head that didn't do nothing to lucas more than put him down for a few seconds. molina jr never hurt him again in the fight after the first, and a one eye lucas went to war with garcia. yet is lucas fighting the bigger guys with big KOs and garcia fighting herrera and salka in a row. yeah, lucas i done.

i like Lucas but if he gets KO'd he becomes a gatekeeper.

That's what happens to huge punchers when they lose their chin.

I don't care what people say, Molina really made me question Lucas' chin. He got hit by bombs and rarely flinched before. Molina barely landed anything huge and had him on shaky legs right away.

At 147 I am sure he can ko people, but need proof that he won't get ko'd first.
