You mean Cotto Promotions undercard (see Cotto vs Martinez undercard for reference).

Yes, he's still champ and his Canelo fight in May is preserved.

How in the flying **** would there be a belt on the line? Seriously, **** the WBC.

          Crap fight, Cotto destroys him.

Andy Lee is good fun to watch but I don't think I've ever seen him fight well. Cotto, easily.

Cotto is a MW titlist. He could fight Rubio/Lee/Canelo @MW and defend the belt at least once. They have a better chance of winning @160 than @154, so instead it looks like he'll drop the belt and move back down. Lee doesn't look good at LMW imo, while Canelo has fought above LMW in his last two fights and rehydrates to LHW. The fact that Roach is now in Cotto's corner makes it pretty obvious that this is a strategic move.

Malignaggi summed up the situation best IMO. When fighters take huge risks, they want to reach up/forward (the upside of the risk to be worth it). With golovkin, he's a huge risk where the big names would be reaching back for. Big risk and reaching back isn't a good combo.

As far as this fight, kinda disappointed, but considering its just a stay busy fight for the next big one, im fine with it i guess. Andy Lee is a legit opponent (otherwise, what would we say about martinez' career?)

If Cotto stays on the path that roach has him on, Andy Lee is gonna be hurting. But if he tries to box with andy, and let's Andy use his reach, it might be troublesome. Just stating the obvious I guess haha
