As far as this fight, kinda disappointed, but considering its just a stay busy fight for the next big one, im fine with it i guess. Andy Lee is a legit opponent (otherwise, what would we say about martinez' career?)

If Cotto stays on the path that roach has him on, Andy Lee is gonna be hurting. But if he tries to box with andy, and let's Andy use his reach, it might be troublesome. Just stating the obvious I guess haha

Cotto did not underestimate him. His age showed against a fighter with great skill. Trout fought Lara and Canelo afterwards, and got robbed vs Canelo. Cotto fought a bum Delvin rodriguez, and a hopelessly shot Sergio Martinez. Who faced the tougher competition, Austin Trout. And Austin Trout would school him in a rematch again. Cotto can't handle a boxer.

that's a fair analysis. However, I still suspect Cotto will fair much better. I think cotto is stronger and will be a different fight. More Pressure vs Boxing. Alas, its likely we wont see that fight.

The title should be vacant because Mayweather is fighting at 147, and hasn't fought at 154 since the Canelo fight which was over a year ago.

Cotto should win this fight, Andy Lee isn't a great fighter but at least he isn't fighting a 77th ranked JWW at 156 which would be equivalent to what Garcia did. He also just fought the reigning MW champ, a stay busy fight on free TV is not a bad fight unless it's a really bad opponent and this isn't. War Cotto!!!

It isn't, but it should be. It would have been over a year since Floyd fought in the division and him defending it at 147 against a guy who never fought at 154 is a bigger farce than Cotto fighting Lee for a not so vacant belt.
