I don't think it will happen, GBP may be with Showtime, but Floyd is their Cash Cow for the next 3 fights, NOT Canelo, I think it's funny Canelo is trying to shove Floyd out of the Cinco De Mayo weekend because he's not Mexican lmao, ain't happenin, I'm sure Showtime will fight that, and not try and put on a card that matches. Besides if the fight were to happen I'm sure both networks would show the fight like they did when Lewis fought Tyson. But I hope Floyd ****s Canelo and offers Cotto way more money for a fight in May

I don't know what ever happened to James Kirkland but they better NOT fight him, he will hurt both of them.

It's rumored that Haymon is also in talks with Kirkland to fight Lara, ODH is having a meeting this Friday with Haymon to resolve the issue.

It is up to Kirkland and his manager/promoter to decide.

that's because the hype of an undefeated fighter and look how boring it was cotto maywether was more exciting to watch and lets not forget canelo had help with the Garcia lucas fight so lets not act like Floyd and canelo brought that in by themselves cotto is the A side and will beat canelo who cant even defend against a jab

and floyd-cotto had canelo-mosley on the undercard, but you seem to forget that ... just keep in mind canelo coming off a loss fighting angulo on a non-title fight made as much as cotto fighting maravilla for the MW title...

I heard that after the Floyd fight, Canelo had a 3 fight deal on SHO

So this is what I think is gonna happen

Canelo is gonna finish up his SHO contract this year against Kirkland

Cotto is gonna fight Bradley on HBO in December

Next May, Cotto is gonna fight Canelo in MSG for the 160 titles on HBO

Cotto will be the A-Side and get a guaranteed $10 million plus PPV's. Canelo will get around $8 mill guaranteed with PPV's

This makes sense for both fighters cuz Floyd always underpays his opponents. They would make more money fighting each other than fighting Floyd again

hbo is already after canelo, according to HBO president Ken Hershman canelo-lara did around 400K-425K, and they could have easily double those numbers with canelo fighting on hbo..
so expect canelo to fight on hbo next year...

Cotto holds more cards then Canelo as he proved when he turned down the fight for a Martinez match. Cotto pretty much carried Martinez on ppv, while Canelo-Angulos numbers are comparable and that was 2 Mexicans. As you can see from Mayweather-Maidana Argentina doesn't bring much as in ppv, so in reality that point is a negative on the Canelo board, seeing as how Cotto pretty much carried the event. Also let's get one thing completely straight, Canelo needs Cotto's name on his resume, Cotto doesn't need canelos.

And before you think I'm just a Cotto fan, know that I like Canelo and had him winning against Lara. But all things considered Cotto holds more cards, not all but definitely more.
