Some of you will remember Corey Phelps was KOed in round one by Don George in 2007.

He was also KOed in round two at light heavyweight by Tommy Karpency in 2009.

He does have a win in his last fight, against a 3-24 fighter who had lost 10 fights in a row and lost 14 of his past 15.

The fight with Shannon Briggs will be Phelps' first fight at heavyweight.

Shannon Briggs is going the..."Shannon Briggs bum 'o the month" route to a title shot. Briggs has travelled this route several times before. It's a familiar route, so it's not surprising that he's going it again
