Why would Wilder fight Briggs at this point? He's scheduled to face Stiverne for the WBC (hopefully) later this year. I'd say Briggs right now is high risk low return

Some of you will remember Corey Phelps was KOed in round one by Don George in 2007.

He was also KOed in round two at light heavyweight by Tommy Karpency in 2009.

He does have a win in his last fight, against a 3-24 fighter who had lost 10 fights in a row and lost 14 of his past 15.

The fight with Shannon Briggs will be Phelps' first fight at heavyweight.

I dont like your post. You're insinuating that Phelps is a bum which by no means is true. The guy was just suffering from a severe case of drainage at those lower weights.

You will now see him at his full potential in the HW division.
