I know a guy who's brother told him that their father is an ALIEN. And to prove it, his brother showed him his father's U.S. green card where it says ALIEN on the ID card with his father's photo. So for years, when he was a kid, he believed his father was an alien.

Well as a child its understandable. They know and believe what's instilled into them. There comes a point in time where you mature and have to apply logic to many things in life. When something just makes absolutely no sense you have to take a step back and really disect it and make a logical decision whether to continue to follow it or not.

Now many people are weak and cant handle the thought of there not being a "god" looking over them. Those I have a sort of sympathy for. They need to believe in something.

I remember Frank Bruno repeatedly crossing himself before and during the rematch with Mike Tyson

He knew he was getting KTFO

Maybe "problem" was a poorly chosen word. I'll replace it with "business".

then he is on his own. when you have faith in the lord you fear no evil because he is with you always. when you pray for strength and guidance then you are led on a righteous path. but if you reject the Lord from your life then you are like a lost lamb in a woods full of bears and wolves. your soul is guideless and can be consumed and twisted by evil.

always have faith in the Lord because he gives you strength in victory and defeat.

But it still takes time. For most, the reason why it persists is because they got conditioned into it as kids. By that time, it's a fully developed habit that is extremely hard to grow out of.

i'll educate you further. yes the offsprings of religious parents posses less of the beliefs. but then the children of the offsprings of the parents of christians, etc. jump right back end and become religious. starting the cycle over again.

Most people are blind followers, and it's difficult for most to not follow the pack, even if they sorta think the pack is wrong. It's for this reason why all sorts of crazy bad **** goes on in the world. And it's why organised religion has gotten so powerful. If you have enough followers, the assumption is that it MUST be true.

Then try going outside with Irish gear, where you have a kilt on, and see the response you get. No easy to be different from the pack.

Some do, yes. But many do not. It's for this reason why in third world countries, you see way more incorporation of western culture / secular culture than ever before.

It's not only in boxing, I see people in the music industry thanking God when they win awards in ceremonies as if they're the chosen ones. It's very agonizing to hear. It's not fair that we don't get to see them when they're in their miseries like in boxing. I mean these are people who behave like thugs in public.
