I know you weren't, but men like that are not of God. They are the worst type of hypocrites that have been corrupted by evil.

Those who strive most for the light are the most coveted by the devil. Those men, for all their vaunted sanctity, lost the fight to live in Christ. This is the narrow path.

Can someone move this thread somewhere else? It's no longer talking about boxing. It's just atheists and Christians arguing. I am atheist myself but have no problem with someone having a different set of beliefs provided they don't shove bible quotes at me and pity me as a non believer. But equally I hate stuck up atheists who go out of their way to put down others who never forced their beliefs on others. Why don't we all just keep our beliefs to ourselves, stop forcing our beliefs on each other and just talk about boxing ffs.

This is non stop boxing not non stop religious studies.

Brother, It is indeed a myopic view, and not advantageous to attracting truly devout Christians to God's banner, as I explained previously.

Alright, I will revert back to my boxing self, unless someone has a question for me?

Y'all should keep in mind not all Christians are mindless and easy prey for this incessant indoctrination of doubt!

Both boxing & religion related. Who wins in a boxing match?

Jesus, Muhammad, Moses or Vishnu? (multiple armed deities/prophets only allowed to use one pair of appendages at a time)

Guys like this preacher in here divine hammer, is the reason why I'm atheist. He reminds of people like sye ten bruggencate,Ray comfort, Erik and his father Kent hovind. Telling us atheist we are empty inside or we suppress him because we love sin! Or we can't know anything without God. People that are completely screw up in the head.

I don't have a issue with if people want to believe in a creator. But please keep your dogmatic religious beliefs to yourself. That is why we have atheist and religious always going at itt. Stay out of politics and science. creationism is not science, , if you want your child to be taught creationism, take him to a religious school!

As for boxers always thanking God, that's fine but don't brag that God is on your side! Like morons like Robert Guerrero. I recently went at Luis Collazo neck on Instagram, he is super religious and posted some meme saying that we unbelievers are evil.... Smh... And people wonder why atheist seem angry

Robert Guerrero is one of the worst I've ever seen. Especially when after the fight he claimed that Mayweather was humbled because he saw the spirit of the Lord in front of him (in Guerrero).

You got taken apart you fucking idiot!

If any God out there takes it upon himself to intervene in boxing matches I imagine he'd be trying to distance himself from that one.

I don't get why people care so much. I'm not religious but boxers do a lot worse stuff in and out of the ring than praying.

I am a fighter. Pride is an issue for all men, especially those who have fought., this why I feel obvious miracles are few and far between. Our Lord reads our hearts and know when we seek to glorify Him and when we seek to glorify OURSELVES. I seek to be a humble servant, but it is a hard road.

Having said that, God grants insight to those who open their heart to him and ASK. Don't believe me? Consult the living Word:

"mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:... "

Pitfalls of pride are obvious to watch out for, but God grants insight to those who ask, if it is good under His eyes. An inquisitive guy like me has a lot of questions, so, I ask. It is possible for people to be led by their own spirit, or evil influence, when trying this, so it is important to cross reference everything through the Living Word (bible) and filter it through the chambers of your heart to determine what is indeed good to pass on, and what should be rebuked.

Don't believe my realization on different views of eternity? Consult the Living Word once again:

                      2 peter 3:8 "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day***8221;

The Holy Spirit guided me to this passage, and others like it, to validate how eternity has different definitions from man to God.

I am not saying believe just in case. That belief would be worthless. I am saying don't blasphemy the Holy Spirit just in case. Even non believers should adhere to that, by their own sets of logic. I wouldn't blasphemy the Holy Spirit, because I love my Lord and Savior.... But non believers should refrain from doing so out of prudence at the very least!

Weekenders only hear interpretations of their priests. And only choice tidbits that their eyes often glaze over while listening to. You have to study the Living Word for yourself, not be told by another man what it means. Observing the sabbath in Church is useful for fostering brotherhood, as Jesus commanded, but as for becoming strong in faith, that is done through a lot of private prayer and meditation, and studying the Living Word as a dedicated scholar would. Soak up everything.

Aside from weekenders, a sort of mild brand of hypocrite, we have severe hypocrites. People that use people's faith to make money when in their hearts they themselves do not believe, and others that do even more unspeakable evil in the name of God. The crusades, for instance, Jesus would not have condoned. Witch burnings as well. Jesus did not condemn anyone to death, he cast demons out of people, he didn't burn them at the stake!

I am not saying believe just in case, I am saying don't blasphemy the Holy spirit just in case. For it is written that The Lord particularly detests when people do that.

As to non believers, I believe The Lord is SOMEWHAT satisfied with people who live the narrow path without even knowing it. Hearken to Romans if you will, Brother:

"Rom 2:14. For when Gentiles (Romans, you), who do not have the (God's) law, by nature do things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel."

This indicates men are judged by works and merit, as well as God's law..

Brother, I believe, and have been guided to the position that this doctrine of fear that was so stressed by our Church fathers was overused. After all a man that goes into battle with you because he fears you will turn from you at first opportunity. However, a man that goes into battle with you because he LOVES you will lay down his life for you. The way to gain true and faithful followers is through love, not fear.

One last word I have for you, Brother. Jesus preached a slightly harder line in His ministry, but I would implore you to examine the crucifixion itself. These men were beating Him, spitting on Him, scourging Him, and crucifying Him, and He did not once curse His enemies to damnation. His words to the Father were thus: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do"

If He did not damn non believers that were torturing Him, what effect do you think your words have on God? He did not damn someone who shoved a crown of thorns on His head, or someone who afflicted Him with a whip adorned with thorns, or someone who nailed through His feet and hands, yet you find it accurate He will damn a non believer that spits on His name?

Hateful, grateful, or ignorant, the Son interceded for ALL. God's love for each and every one of us is unimaginable, Brother.

If you ever come to The Lord.... Do not come out of fear! Approach Him in love, as He loves you! Hosanna, hallelujah! Selah, and AMEN!

Perhaps I was harsh. I merely mean that there is a spiritual potential in all of us that is very enriching when cultivated. And there is no limit to it, the rabbit hole goes as deep as you dare, if the Lord is willing.
Nobody cares, keep your silly superstitions to yourself. You don't like Atheists or people of other faiths telling you things you don't want to hear, then do the same.

The Bible is absurd, if you had one brain cell you would understand how it could never possibly be the word of some supreme being. It's so obviously man made, and put together by men.

Stop proselytizing to people, it's annoying. We don't want to hear it and we are more moral than you or your god.
