HBO has been doing great since the beginning of last year. we're arguably getting two matchup of the years on regular HBO this year: gamboa-crawford, kovalev- hopkins. among others. jennings-perez. geale-golovkin, etc.
because people are actually giving up money and are subscribed to this mess.........

      You didn't answer the question.

Who says Showtime is losing money?

Good point. But at the least, when we get cards on HBO.... it is competitive, important fights with solid matchmaking, for the most part.

The 2.5 month inactivity indeed does suck and is disappointing for fans who have HBO only for boxing, but just about every single card HBO has put on in the past year and a half has been good matchups.

I'm not excusing the two month absence, though. It sucks

Yeah haymon and Schaefer screwed them over, but as fans we shouldn't give a **** about the business. You should care about watching the fights! There's plenty of other fighters out there that can be shown. I don't see that as an excuse. I don't know the fac on why the budget was cut. As fans we should be pissed.

They wanted a unification with Adonis Stevenson, he didn't want the fight. Is Kovalev supposed to retire? He got paid peanuts for those fights, nobody was hurt by those fights

No, I didn't read the article.
King, I understand you're reasoning but it doesn't justify, mitigate, or change it. Garbage is garbage.

They can only afford Salka fights. Even then, they're still spending hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars for such fights, if not millions. Garcia got $750,000 for fighting Salka. Broner wants an 8 figure pay for a Garcia fight. How can Showtime afford to make these very expensive fights? Man, these are not even Cotto/Canelo caliber fights where profit is guaranteed.

This just isn't true. Some of the fights have been better than some of showtime's-but that doesn't make them good.

Man just face it. You've been bloviating about sho losing money and Dan has confirmed Cotto's fight has to go to ppv because HBO's budget is gone. HBO is not showing fights this month. We know you hate al and Floyd but that hate doesn't put any money in HBO's boxing budget.

And you should be pissed at SHO. They have tons of fighters. Where the *** are they? Why are we getting Salka fights? Where is Thurman vs Alexander/Guerrero/Berto/Ortiz/Lopez/Maidana/Broner/Khan/Porter? Why are Broner and Matthysse not fighting? Why didn't Garcia and Peterson fight?
