    I don't mind Quillin, I was actually a fan initially as he's a puncher.

It's not a decent payday, it's a whopping payday for a fighter that doesn't even headline and it completely justifies his policy of not taking risks or fighting the best.

It's not the money itself, it's the principle of boxers being rewarded for protecting records and deliberately opting to fight weak opposition.

Gary Russell Jr did the exact same thing, Wilder's doing it, Berto did it for years. It's fraudulent bull****.

His voluntaries are Guerrero, Rosado and Konecny. Two of them aren't even top 10 opponents, and I think Guerrero was #9. It's pathetic, and now it's been rewarded.
Ive never really been a Quillen fan, it's crazy that you once were and we're on opposite sides. Berto, Russell eventually had to step up in competition and were shown what they were worth. Wilder and Quillen will have to do the same thing if they want bigger $. Quillen has a belt if he gets past this fight you'd think a big name is going to come calling soon to try and take it. He's going to have earn his spot you'd think eventually if he want more paydays. The cream always rises to the top and we'll see if Quillen is actually a legitimate MW or a fraud.

I'll give Quillen benifit of the doubt and dont think its his policy to fight lesser names, I believe he's like most boxers and face anyone Haymon and his team decides

I'm with you fans want the best to fight the best And Quillens resume isn't anything to brag about and isnt really that good. but I'm cool with fighters getting paid even if they get overpaid. As soon as fighters start losing usually that $ dries up quick look at Chad Dawson and how much he got paid last time out. This sport is ruthless, get $ while they can.

I think that was only cos they were fighting for a vacant belt. Generally the current titlist gets bulk of the purse.
