I can't believe some of the Brits on here are celebrating and calling Shawn Porter a hype job, Kell Brook fought like a complete coward today. Unbelievable people would actually call what Brook displayed tonight as "boxing." That wasn't boxing, that was bs, just plain terrible! A full on wrestling match, Brook is the new Devon Alexander. Why wasn't Brook penalized for all that excessive holding? That ref needs to be fired, what an embarrassing night for boxing, a real eye sore.

Hands of iron - if Porter had won you would have posted something negative about Brook calling him a protected overhyped brit. When Hopkins counters/pot shots and holds he's a technician and genius and so on. Porter lost, Brook won. How many world titles have you won in the past 12 months?

Count me in the camp of Brook was holding way too much and should have at least lost one point. Porter was more aggressive, threw more punches, and landed far more power punches. He was also the champion. That being said, he punched himself out by the middle rounds and could not make the necessary adjustments. While I stop short of calling it a robbery, the folks on here jocking Brook need to lay off the Kool Aid. I'd like to see a rematch and would still favor Porter.

It was a scrappy fight. Porter threw more punches but often missed the target and came in with his head low. Brook was cleaner and more clinical. Brook won. The end.

Great fight. Glad that there was no robbery.

What position are you in to say "Kell Brook fought like a coward"? Last I checked he stood tall and outmatched a world champion fighter. Kell Brook displayed most of the boxing skill tonight: precise punching, ring generalship, strategy and yes...toughness. Porter has a ton of heart and athleticism but that doesn't make him a skilled boxer, he failed to put himself in proper punching position the entire night. Barreling in to chest bump Brook and maul him isn't fighting on the inside, he was actually smothering himself and gave Brook the opportunity to tie him up. Ask yourself why Porter chose not to trade with Brook, why he didn't challenge himself and actually try to stand and box. He wanted to maul Kell because Kell was the superior boxer!

Porter caused the clinching, like he does in every fight.

If people are talking about point deductions it should have been for Porter's rabbit punching, most of his landed shots were to the back of the head.

The rabbit punching was disgraceful. Brook did it twice and was unofficially warned on both occasions. Porter did it the whole night and wasn't reprimanded once.

And don't forget the head mauling.

There's fighting on the inside. Then there's driving your forehead into your opponent's neck.

Good win for Brook, Porter needs to go back to the drawing board!

Porter has one plan: Bull-rushing. That's it. And with that he expected to hold onto the title for a while? HA!
