Are all of the cards Al is involved in as bad as last week? does the promoter bear any responsibility?

Or are you just going to judge everything based on 2-3 cards?
You're always judged based on your last performance.

When a champion vacates, the #1 and #2 contenders fight for the vacant title. So if Danny vacates the #1 and #2 for the WBC belt are Matthysse and Postol. Jessie Vargas is the WBA champion so he can't win that title without fighting Vargas.

In other words he HAS to fight Matthysse or Postol to win a title. They aren't just going to give it to him.
That is reassuring, but don't the rankings change frequently? Who is to say that when Broner is ready for the title shot it won't be a step over? The WBC has Wilder as the number 1 contender without him beating anybody of note, so I am sure they can do the same if they want to hand Broner a title.

I know that but you're again moving away from the topic at hand, he's not willing to fight the champions in his division - Peterson and Danny because he's ducking and he wants to fight for the vacant title, which will be easier in his eyes. Now easy doesn't rhyme with Mathyse so he'll either fight Postol or we'll see how Al Haymon will arrange this.

This is true. But Vargas is the WBA champion so what are they going to do? Strip him for no reason? Sanctioning bodies are corrupt but they just won't strip Jessie Vargas for no reason. Garcia is the Super Champion but when he leaves there will be no Super Champion.

The WBC does whatever they want but Matthysse is a Haymon client too. In other words, Broner and Matthysse are fighting on the same card in September for a reason.

Expect to see Broner vs. Matthysse for Garcia's vacant WBC title within months.

I would love to see that fight. If Broner took that fight it would go a long way in proving that the Garcia fight really is about the money and not a blatant duck against someone he thinks he will lose to.

I am not buying it, not unless they pay Broner more than 3 mill. If he doesn't want to fight Garcia for less than 10 000 000 I don't see him not outpricing himself against Mathyse.

Again, I don't believe Broner deep in his heart wants to avoid the tough fights, but his manager and trainer sure have brainwashed him to behave like that.

I don't think they are fighting no way. I am actually doubting that Garcia and Peterson will square up. Not seeing it.

I know Al Haymon clients get paid like Broner and Garcia.

I just wonder how much did Maidana get to fight against Broner and how much did Lucas make against Garcia.

I would love to see what the WBC pulls out of their ass to let Broner just hop, skip, jump Matthysse and Postol.

Matthysse is 3rd in line for Peterson's IBF belt so even if he vacates Broner will have to fight him. And one thing about the IBF is they actually enforce their rules unlike the other organizations.

There are no easy paths to a title at 140. If Broner wants to win a world title in this weight class he is going to have to earn it.
