The Salka fight wasnt that bad. Lots of fighters take tune ups.

Salka signed on the dotted line.

Well I don't think the fighters have a gun to their head when signing or accepting fights from Al. Not defending that douche but it doesn't all just fall back on the management. Fighters are the individuals whom step in the ring and accept their opposition as challengers, especially a champion such as LSC. This is a shaky fight constructed by Al and built by LSC accepting the "challenge"(might be the wrong word, seeing as how it won't be a challenge at all).

Thank you Al Haymon? He was pulling this **** when his fighters were on HBO, like with Berto. So, now that he manages so many prominent fighters, we are going to be seeing this more often. I don't know, but I get the idea that either he doesn't know what the **** he is doing, that they are trying to kill the sport, or that they are trying to **** the fans over.

However, I would like to know who the matchmaker at Golden Boy/Haymon Promotions is (Gomez?) and whether he has a say in who fights who, but probably just takes orders from the higher ups. He was defending Garcia/Salka vigorously in post-fight. These fights are bad and they are showing up way too much now; Broner, Matthysse, Garcia, Santa Cruz, other Haymon fighters...all these dudes are fighting unknown, unranked fighters. Pathetic.

Agreed. Canelo demands who he wants to fight next and these guys just hide behind their promoters and cash in on these easy paydays.

I'm not much of a fan. I prefer Kirkland over Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz is a Donaire vs Rigo type fight waiting to happen.

Kirkland lost me with that Molina farce. I want Santa Cruz to succeed because he has a good back story, he's a nice guy and can bring a lot of fans to the table. But this is crap. He's just another TBA killer at this point until I'm proven otherwise.

Another mismatch, Haymon is trying to ruin boxing and the fighters should also be ashamed of themselves for taking these fights on.

Damn that is way too far the wrong way in level of competition. It only hurts the fighters to sc**** the bottom of the barrel too much to get hyped up, because when they get back in there with a real good opponent its a shock they are not used to.

This is not what I had in mind when he said he would fight anyone.
