Ward and Goosen need to just cut their losses and part ways. Enough already.

Maybe Goosen can let him out of his contract if he gets a percentage of future revenues? Goosen seems to have a valid contract, so either a buyout or future earnings.Comment

Don't see this doing any damage at all, just making fighter/promoter relationship far worst. You can accuse anyone of doing anything and you can file a defamation lawsuit, the burden is on goosen and his team to prove that any of the accusations have caused harm. He would have to prove that the accusations affected his ability to make money in order to be rewarded a sizable fee, which I don't see happening. This would seem more as a publicity grab and good lawyer tactics then anything else. One things for sure there are a lot of lawyers making money right now.
I don't understand why people are hating on Ward, if it comes to light that Goosen did violate the Ali act will all of you do a 180 and say how Ward was smart and looked out for boxing?
Let's wait and see what happens, because it's obvious this the only fight ward is willing to have.Comment

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!! STINKY !!!!
Bad for Andre and if he can ever get in the ring I feel sorry for the dude he fights !!!!Comment

This lawsuit filed by Goosen has less to do with defamation and more to do with breach and the recovery of monetary damages incurred by Ward's current hold out. If Andre decides to sign an agreement to get back in the ring and make Dan's promotional company some more money then he'll drop this suit tomorrow.
I say this because it's very rare for a promoter to sue a fighter. Promoters usually sue other promoters. It's typically the other way around where fighters often sue their promoters when they feel cheated and owed additional money by them.Comment

Not sure who exactly is advising Andre Ward, but he's pretty much thrown his career away. Not sure why you would resign with a promoter who has supposedly been screwing you out of money for years. I'm curious why if Ward is such a huge superstar he got no offers from Top Rank or Golden Boy back in 2011? Problem with giving fighters like Ward too much credit to quickly, is that they become entitled. Not sure what Ward has accomplished in the last 2-3 years to keep him at #2 on the P4P or make him worthy of 7 figure paydays.Comment
