I'd like to see it. I want to see if JMM can beat a legit welterweight other than PAC. I doubt it ...but nonetheless it would be a good fight.

I don't like how much Porter is looking past Brook. He is already talking about his next 2 fights before the Brook fight has happened. I hope him beating down Paulie and beating Alexander for the belt hasn't made him like this he might end up losing a fight he should win because of it.Comment

Porter Can't Answer The Question The Media Ask; He's Not Looking Past Brook!
****** comments to say I don't like the way Porter is looking past Brook. Really??? As if you're in camp, and you've noticed Porter talking about Marquez in the shower, in the ring, on the speed bag, the heavy bag, during his road work ??? C'mon! He's a pro, he's locked in on Brook. He's training hard, and when his workout is over for the day, the media ask questions for a few minutes. Questions he gets are about Brook this, Brook that, then you get the occasional question, "hey who would you like next, provided you beat Brook?.... Or, Marquez says he'd like a shot at your belt; what are your thoughts ?" And that's how it goes down. 10 media stiffs hear his answer to the ONE or TWO questions, then go write 10 articles about what he said about Marquez! Give me a break, you arent running into Porter at the grocery store hearing him talk about Marquez. He answered a simple, bonehead question, describing how he'd love the fight, and how spectacular it would be. Next question.
Porter is not looking past Brook. Don't pre-suppose "you can tell as much because he answered a question given to him by the media". He's not walking around offering up convo on Marquez. LOL!
And for the record, Porter called out Marquez before Marquez chose Alvarado. Marquez wanted no part of Porter. JMM was hoping Bradley would beat Pac so he could fight Bradley for the '47 belt rather than Porter. Pacquiao blows out Bradley, now Marquez won't fight Pac for it, and priced himself out of wack demanding $20m, which nobody will give Marquez. Marquez knows he can't beat Pac, the last fight he was behind on all scorecards and out of gas, having just been knocked down, when he landed his lucky punch. He knows it won't turn out that way again, and doesn't want to extend the pleasure to Manny. That's why he's having to consider Porter, who has the other piece of the pie. That's fine, either get stopped by Pacquiao or Porter; pick your poison.Last edited by TLC8; 08-14-2014, 10:40 AM.Comment

Jesus Christ, Porter is not that good, he's no boogeyman.
Alexander is not good, and is even worse as a welter weight. Paulie is shop worn, and feather fisted. Despite this, they were two very very good wins.
But, Porter looks like crap against more equal competition. Porter also has a horrible jab. His lunging tactics worked against Devon but it will not work against most top fighters.
Brook is fairly one dimensional, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Porter win, but if the opposite happens, I won't be surprised at all.Comment
