... but if Khan fought Alexander in November, that doesn't mean much. Because Porter already beat him.

In your book, only Thurman will do. That's the only fight Amir Khan -- specifically -- is allowed to take if he wants Floyd.

Never mind that Team Porter **OPENLY** ducked Thurman already. As soon as Shawn won that title people asked him and his dad about taking on Thurman and his dad gave the old, reliable "that would be a much bigger fight down the road" / a.k.a. "gotta let it marinate" excuse.

I'm sure you have no problem with that "strategic career decision" by Team Porter though.

    I wonder why? Hmmmm ...
I believe that if Porter wins, he'll be looking to fight Thurman before Khan. The winner of that or the winner of Garcia vs. Peterson will be Floyd's opponent. Khan will again be sitting on the sidelines. His only chance that this doesn't happen is 1) Brook wins or 2) He beats Thurman before Porter does. Worse scenario for Khan is Garcia wins and Porter wins. At that point he'll be totally irrelevant:

Birmingham said that eventually he believes that Thurman will meet Shawn Porter, another talented undefeated welterweight in the Haymon stable. There has been a lot of talk about that potential fight, but Porter, of course, must defeat Kell Brook in a mandatory title defense on Aug. 16. Even if it does happen, it's probably a couple of fights away.

"I think that fight is inevitable," Birmingham said of Porter-Thurman. "We know those guys, Shawn and his dad [Kenny Porter]. We have Shawn in our camp before and we're friends with them, but this is also business. We all know they might have to fight. When they do, it'll be a great fight."

Guerrero and Alexander may be the targets, but Haymon and Khan will pull a bait and switch as Haymon did with Garcia and Khan will end up fighting the 30 ranked welterweight who has lost three of his last four fights.

Hahaha! How many targets does Khan has? Every time he talks, he has a different target. Are his targets, are also targeting him?

Khan sells at least 500K UK PPV (Hatton did 1 million) if he looks excellent against Guerrero and gets the hype up for a clash with Floyd.

Now while PPV is only $30 over there, but assuming 500K buys that's *AT LEAST* $15 million in revenue Khan is *BRINGING* to the table.

Porter or Danny Garcia are not PPV attractions (either here or in other countries). They're just would-be moochers off of Floyd's riches. They don't make the pot of gold any bigger.

The presence of Khan in the fight with Floyd actually makes it a bigger, more marketable, and more profitable event than it would be otherwise. Whether you like it or not. As long as Khan wins convincingly against Guerrero, he's going to get the fight. And I hope it burns you up inside, LOL

I am not sure what all this discussion is for. Who are the two "hottest" fighters in the division outside of pac and may, porter and thurman. If Khan wants to show how good he is NOW, not 3-4 years ago he can beat quite possibly the hottest guy in the division in Thurman because he has no fights lined up. Beat him, and the public will DEMAND a Mayweather fight. Porter wins have greatly outshined Khan's LATELY, so if he chooses Guerrero especially ( a guy that just went life and death with a nobody), it is once again his own fault if he gets passed over.

Out of the two Khan should fight Devon to erase the duck stain on his career.

LOL....tell me about it. This thread is a prime example of a bunch of internet dweebs who refuse to get their head out their arse and live in the real world.

"Khan HAS TO fight Thurman ya'll"

Errr no, no he does not. No one knows who the *** Keith Thurman is

Haha I like how you move the goal post. First, it was "fight contenders", but when he mentions Guerrero and Alexander, all of a sudden they're "damaged goods" and what not, yet Thurman who has done absolutely nothing is a better option than those two.

Khan is the only boxer who tries to fight the best.

Most duck whereas khan always looks for a challenge
