Mauricio Herrera vs Lucas Matthysse.

I picked Herrera but I think its a good fight. I can see Herrera handling Matthysse like he did to Garcia but I can also see Matthysse pressure Herrera and just overwhelm him.

I think Matthysse's superior punching power will starch him within six rounds. He is too accurate of a puncher and coupled with Herrara's own lack of punching power which doesn't sting remotely hard enough in order to gain Lucas' respect.

I think Herrera beat Garcia but Lucas attacks harder than Garcia with lots more punches from different angles and I think he would beat Herrera and probably win by KO.

This a fight I'd very much like to see. Don't see Herrera being able to be slick like he usually is against Matty. The Machine stops him IMHO.

I think I might have to lean towards Herrera. Remember, he was able to handle the pressure from Provodnikov and win so I do think he would be able to do something similar with Matthysse.

While the punching power from Herrera probably won't gain a lot of respect from Matthysse, it seems that Matthysse has trouble landing against these types of fighter. The other thing is that eventually when he does land, Herrera has shown a pretty good ability to take punches. I don't recall ever really seeing him hurt.
