Matthysse's style is a nightmare for Herrera.

This. Herrera would win his share of rounds, but I see him getting caught and stopped late. Perez was landing some decent shots in their bout as well.

tough fight to predict I want my boy matthysse to win and if he did people would have to give him his well deserved respect but I could see herrara stinking out thefight making it a boring decision

Matthysse easily, unlike Garcia, Matthysse isn't gonna be looking for the counters. It'll be Matthysse disregarding Herrera's power and dismantling him early.

Herrera, Garcia and Matthysse could beat one another depending on on they fight on the night....

Garcia could beat Herrera in a rematch
Matthysse could beat Garcia in a rematch
              Herrera could beat Matthysse
              Matthysse could beat Herrera

              etc

I think Matthysse deals with Herrera better than Garcia...Garcia underestimated Herrera and couldn't adapt...Matthysse wouldn't put himself in that position...

What has Matthysse got that Ruslan Provodnikov hasn't ? The answer is nothing.Matthysse has already been outboxed by feather fisted Alexander and Zab,so all this counter argument Herrera wouldn't have the power to keep Lucas off of him is void.

Herrera is a slicker boxer than DSG,Alexander and Zab.Lucas would lose by unanimous decision,it really isn't that difficult to grasp unless you are blindfolded.

I like Lucas and Danny, but I don't allow these petulant rivalries to blind myself when analysing a boxer,if he has faults I admit it.I don't blame losses on fractured orbital bones, the real problem is defence.so boxing fans on this site really need to give their heads a shake,or start paying for subscriptions as opposed to crappy feeds, surely their is no other explanation why some fans judgement on a boxing fight is so clouded and flawed.

Alexander and Zab are southpaws with a higher KO% than Herrera. Lucas has a greater reach, better KO%, and more experience than Ruslan. I think this fight would play out similar to Alvarado/Herrera, with Lucas finishing Herrera late.

Good fight. I'm a fan of both guys, but I'd pick Matthysse in this one. Herrera is a skillful, crafty guy, but he does go toe to toe with his opponents and I think that obviously suits Matthysse. Herrera's got a very good chin, so not sure if he'd get stopped/KOd.

Its a great fight that should be made for both guys.

I think it is a close call on who wins. Herrera is tough, and is a very good boxer, but LM has shown great ability to deal with jabs in the past and that is the punch that Herrera works everything off.

                      I got the MAchine.
