Peterson, of Washington, D.C., controlled the fight from the outset, lighting up New York native Santana with left hooks and shots to the body. Peterson was highly accurate, landing 53 percent of his power punches and 48 percent of his total punches.

The champion diversified his attack in later rounds, with Santana enduring consistent punishment. With 11 seconds left in the tenth, referee Pete Santiago had seen enough and awarded Peterson the technical knockout.

What?! This is a good fight right here stylistically. I give Garcia the slight edge due to the fact he's a hooker, and Lamont isn't the most defensively responsible when going to the body,he can get countered but it's correctable.

This isn't some big anticipated fight that needed marinating, but yes, it's the best available fight at 140 for Danny.

i thought I was the only one. Garcia (Salk fiasco and being a douche aside), KO's Peterson.

I don't see what Peterson brings to the table against Garcia. Has done nothing of note since being brutalized by Lucas and should have lost the title anyway. Got caught with PEDS in biggest win, too.

He got popped for peds on his biggest win, and gotten stopped by Mathysse.
