Depends on the fighter. Bradley signed a multi fight deal because he wanted that security. For some guys, especially if they aren't super marketable, knowing they will guaranteed make X amount of dollars for X amount of time is important to them. In this case we aren't talking long term - Arum is asking for a one fight extension. That's it.
This may be true, but if Chavez agrees to it, Arum will ask for another one fight extension when it is time to sign for the next fight and will pull the same tricks to try to get it.

I wouldn't use the term slave wages, but If he can get 20 to 25 million for those same two fights, then it is unfair.

Are you ****** enough to think that Arum is doing Chavez Jr. a favor? Do you think Arum is going to give him that $12 million out of his own pocket? If Arum is offering 12 million, that means the two fights will likely generate 30 million in profit, so Arum will pocket $18 million.

Chavez is simply doing what Mayweather is doing, which is simply to get as much of the money that he generates as possible instead of giving it to some greedy promoter.

Chavez should definitely get paid a lot more to fight GGG/Froch than what he got paid for Vera.

Whether or not it's the last fight on his contract shouldn't matter.

Arum trying to get Chavez to sign that extension is what's holding this fight. Can't be mad at Jr here.
