you know he was up on the cards in the 9th round of a 10 round fight, right? When is this guy ever going to get tested? His best win so far was Soto Karass. We've seen Chaves fighting like a bum in the Rios fight and it's obvious he was way below Rio's level. He gassed quickly and was fighting for survival just right after the 2nd round. Looking back, Chaves was the Salka counterpart of Thurman in their fight.Comment

You've got the excuses ready for everything. Khan was lucky not to be stopped, Alexander was his first fight at 147 etc.
You say Thurman is too big, but he ducked Thurman and then went on to fight Karass who's bigger than Thurman. What's excuse for that?
And so what if he's fighting Floyd lol? You're talking like that's some kind of achievement.
Who is Thurman?
BoxingScene.com ran a story on Saturday where hard hitting Marcos Maidana’s fight with Keith Thurman, which was rumored to have fallen apart, was still being negotiated between Golden Boy Promotions and Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi. While Contursi and Golden Boy are indeed still in negotiations, it’s not for a possible Thurman fight for Maidana. Rather they are negotiating to find a replacement opponent for the Argentina native.
Does that ring any bells?Comment

No one knew who 5'11 undefeated Thurman was. Why the **** would Maidana at that point in his career fight him? It makes no sense. None. Maidana would have fought him. His management decided against it.
It's horrible logic. Basically everyone in boxing is ducking everyone by your logic.Comment
