He clearly does not have anywhere near the power of either or the skillset & his style gets uglier everytime I see it.

People cr4p on Ward for the same thing to a lesser extent but they want to see more of this guy?
Only time I will tune in to see this guy is if I think there is a good chance he will get knocked out he horrible to watch.
How is it clear? there's not really much to go on. Thurman got out of dodge and started moving after getting his nose broken while Rios appears to have unnatural punch resistance (although he did end up hospitalised).

Chaves's next fight will likely tell us more about his power. I will say I don't think he's as courageous as Maidana and Matthysse.

even though he was ahead on 2 of 3 cards, I wasn't overly impressed, especially w/his conditioning...mayb Arum will get him another top guy...

he didn't even hit very hard past the first half of the fight

or at all, for that matter. it's 147. felix trinidad was at the same weight.

why the hell is bob signing such an unprofessional fighter?

i've never seen a fighter so blatantly clinching inside. he went for both arms every single time rios got close late in the fight. nevermind the eye gouging, the holding alone is enough for me to never want to see him again.

i've never seen a fight turn like that. after the first round, i thought i was in for a legit classic. i waited until morning to watch the fight, and i was pissed after round 1. after a few more rounds i was happy i went outside on saturday

I was wondering why people were so high on this guy. I mean 90% of us only saw him fight once. Needless to say he gave a good accountability against Thurman but I can't go off of one performance to say he's good. After last Saturday I don't wanna see this kid on TV any more.

Also Vargas lost to Wale, Nov he's a bum. Don't fight him in Vegas young cats
The Matthysse Molina fight had some epic inside fighting moments. Bloody as hell, maybe too blody in the final rounds, but that was some good ol boxing.
Its interesting to see people's different reactions.
After the fight I'm really looking forward to Cahves next fight, and I'm not at all interested in watching another Rios fight. He has guts and seems to like taking punches, but then again he looked fat and complained more than boxed. If you're going to make it a dirty fight (which both fighters did, Rios mostly with his head) just STFU and fight!

                Garcia: "Hows his punching power?"

                Rios: "Nada", which means nothing.

It was that DDT that sent him to the hospital that could have killed anyone.

That was after a round or two, and what was Rios gonna say anyway?

Yeah, he was in such pain he was laughing after it and showing no ill-effects in the post-fight interview.

Rios ate some monster shots, I think they'd have hurt a lot of welters.
