The fight should happen for no other reason then the fact that every division should have one unified champion.. And last I checked both Manny and Floyd hold belts in the same division. Won't happen in 2015.. possibly 2016.

      Possibly a Rent-A-PAC in play....

Maybe this is why Oscar is chumming up Arum to Rent-A-PAC for a Mayweather showdown. Remember, Oscar will do whatever in life to see Floyd dethroned.

Not because I think anyone guy stands more of a chance of winning than the other...it's just the nature of the sport. In this climate would Floyd fans risk his record to a controversial scorecard? Would Pacquaio's? No, and we all knew coming into this discussion five plus years ago that we wouldn't be satisfied with one fight, regardless of outcomes. The fact these guys are long @s shhhhhhht in the tooth also takes away from it. So now let's just imagine two fights, we know the numbers alone will demand a second fight...but we'd be talking at the first in 2015 and the second when? 2016? No thank you. I know it's going to happen regardless..the fact is Pacquaio or Floyd ain't cracking a million buys with any other fighter that's not going to ask for insane amounts of cash. Canelo and Cotto are million buy fighters as opponents, they are more interested in facing each other. So who is left? Unless Algieri pulls of an upset later this year or Maidana doing it next month. May 2015 we see two geezers fight each other, 6 years too late. Mofo's will eat it up, one side will act like at this stage the fight matters solely because their man won and in all likelihood the scorecards will be questioned until kingdom come. Enjoy the guaranteed shhh talking that'll ensue when and if this fight is ever signed.
At this point, Floyd vs. Pac is now like Lewis vs. Tyson. Just a mega spectacle retirement check for both men as opposed to a megafight between 2 titans.

in other words-I don't think Manny can beat Floyd and I would rather die than see Floyd beat Manny.

Mayweather Pacquaio is old news, no real boxing fans have serious intrest in it other then the novelty.
Well they're still #1 and #2 in the division.

The fight isn't what it was, but still makes a lot of sense.

This fight should have happened in 2009 when Manny was in his prime, but Floyd made it difficult and he continues to make excuses. If he does not fight Manny, he will be ridiculed for ducking. Manny is the second biggest name in the sport and this fight would be the richest in the history of boxing. Floyd tries to make Manny look irrelevant because he had back to back losses, but he will consider Khan who was stopped by Garcia and Peterson and who looked horrible against no name opposition. Manny is a bigger name and better than anyone Mayweather can choose but he makes Manny look irrelevant to avoid the fight. Mayweather will do anything to protect his undefeated record because all of his marketability is tied to it. First the steroids, then the money, and now Bob Arum. Manny said he will take all the tests and will take less money, so stop ducking Floyd

Didn't Manny refuse a 40 mill offer from Floyd? How much is he getting 4 his next opponent? If he is so great why did Marquez beat him but get robbed in the 3rd fight, and then take him out cold in the 4th? Why did Manny fight Mosley after Floyd exposed his gas tank? *******s please!!!

I would be pissed if this fight happened. It is way too late and both fighters are obviously on the decline. Let history show that the diva flaoid tried to use every excuse in the book to not get hatton'd by Pacquiao
