Rios controlled the fight. Frustration creeped in on Chavez because Rios easily took that control away from him and not in a dirty way, but in a 'tactical' way by fighting on the inside, which is what Rios is an expert at.

Those saying Rios was head butting must not know much about boxing. Rios did nothing but frustrate Chavez on the inside. Chavez has no inside game. Rios was getting nailed on the outside, which is why he opted to fight 'inside'.

Chavez lokked both of Rios's arms at the elbows which is the reason why Rios's head would have been a problem because he was pulling him close into him and not just once or twice, but the whole fight. Rios just wanted to box and Chavez kept lokkin' his arms.. so what he did with Chavez bein' thrown to the ground, i'da done too!

Can u imagine how pissed off u wud be if u came into this ring with the intention to fight and this fool, no matter how many times u keep tellin' the ref' or the ref' warnin' him, he keeps doin' it? Man, i'da got tired of Chavez lokkin' his arms n Vik' not doin' nuttin' 'bout it too.. n it was only at that time that Rios took matters into his own hands and wen dude clung on him in that corner, he just turned n let him drop, 'cause that's wat u get after bein' told n warned so many times!

Chavez later put Rios into a WWE position at which point Rios was hysterical prolly thinkin' man, i can't believe this fool OR Vik for not gettin' thru to this clown already!

Vik finally found his nuttz n made that call and that's wrap!

I hope Rios never fights that clown again. Chavez be better off huggin' trees than boxing!

A lot of you seemed to be watching a different fight than I was. In the fight I watched Chaves was winning pretty handily and the ref was clearly paid off. I love Bam Bam but the formula to beat him isn't very complicated. So freaking tired of crooked officials and judges. Too bad there isn't a powerful senator who cares enough about boxing to launch an investigation and make changes like they have done in other sports.

Sorry but when the ref warns you consistently to knock it off and fight clean and you keep fighting dirty, get points deducted and you still do it.

        You deserve the DQ.

Dropping Rios on his head was over the top.

I would dq Chaves also (I prolly would of sunk in an RNC for pissing me off first thou).

I can't even really remember the last DQ I saw but I can think of a handful of much dirtier fighters that haven't been DQ'd for doing way worse ****, including Brandon Rios.

but then why don't just DQ him right after he dropped brandon? he let them keep fighting after that. what i posted was what the NSAC said, drakulovich was told by rios corner what chaves was doing, he didn't see it, but he told them he was gonna DQ diego if he kept doing it, doing what if he didn't see him?

Expert of the inside game? That's about all Rios knows how to do

That right there is shady or Vic is really incompetent, either way it's a problem and he shouldn't be allowed near a ring for a while

Garcia's in a tough spot. If he agrees that Chaves should've been DQ'd, then what will he say if Maidana is DQ'd? Chaves was two-piecing Rios regularly, the fight got dirty, but it should've continued. Chaves was up on 2 cards when the fight was stopped. He deserves an immediate rematch. Thurman would eat Rios alive.

Rios pulled a Vic Ortiz he didn't want none of Chavez, he was getting frustrated from the beginning so he wanted to rush in with his head. I feel Rios was looking for this DQ since the beginning, he knew old ass ref didn't understand Chavez and he took advantage by spouting BS to the ref. Lost so much respect for Rios in this fight

Thought it was a very competitive & interesting fight. It was a nasty fight. I will say this. I'd rather get disqualified then let an already rough guy keep charging fwd & lead w/ his head to my face & chin. & how can you DQ just one person on an act that u can't even confirmed happened. Both men were dirty. But I believe rios initiated it. Brandon is a very good fighter & a handful for anybody. He has very subtle moves that he pull.s W/ a rd & a half to go. i'd just rather see more points taken than total wave off. & it would've been more appropriate to DQ both men vs one in that situation.
