Hope he's alright. If he is done my favorite Rios fight was the Miguel Acosta fight a classic one in my book.

Shouldn't Chaves be going to the hospital too after bumping his head on the ringpost in the 5th round?Last edited by Mr. Punch-Out!!; 08-03-2014, 01:09 AM.Comment

Rios is running short of support. His hospital visit is sad, but not inspiring. He was life and death with this guy, now he's the sick one. If nothing else this adds wear and tear to what seems like a fading fighter. Chaves was boxing him with basic stuff, stiff, upright, one two move. Rios couldn't catch him easy, chased him around, blocked a lot with his nose, and when he did catch him, he was wrapped up and traded fouls. Rios has problems at 147.They are really trying to sell that eye gouge disqualification. As for the concussion symptoms, they probably come from blocking so many shots with his head tonight. I kept watching this fight and saying that if Rios doesn't change his style he is gonna end up being one of those fighters whose solid chin causes them to suffer brain damage. I hope he takes another break and sees a neurologist before he thinks about fighting again if he has suffered a concussion.Comment

That's the real issue. He ate himself out of 140 where he would be best at. At 147 he doesn't have the power to compete with top dogs.Rios is running short of support. I disagree, I was rooting for chaves and predicted him to win all things being equal
I had Rios up by 1 point at the time of the DQ
I had the same card as Harold Lederman oddly enough as I never agree with his scores
the rounds I gave Rios were the ones where Chaves repeatedly clinched instead of fought when Rios got close
Chaves isn't as good as I thought he was, and Rios is as limited as I thought
both guys are on the same level
I love my galaxy note 3. Did my scorecard on it
