OK, you can dramatize it however you want, but all I saw was a guy that got sensitive for no reason. Bosses aren't sensitive. That's a female trait. That ain't sensitive. There's no respect in showing any weekness (giving any props) to an apponent. He said his piece, basically "this fight don't make me" told max "he lost" and walked off like a "g" (probably with b*tches). While max was still at work.
**max wasn't wrong in his assessment though**Comment

better talent, athlete, and boxer than prime undefeated Pavlik???
Honestly, they're about the same.. Both straight forward, wear you down, powerful punchers with really no head movement. Except, at the time, Pavlik had the better wins and was more proven against elite competition.
Pavlik was also favored against B-Hop and many predicted Kelly would KO Hop similar to Taylor.Comment

Bernard being Bernard. Every interview he does is antagonistic and/or self-aggrandising, even when he's in GBP Partner mode and is at a fight not involving him.
Which, you know, I enjoy 90% of the time. I just wish sometimes he would just relax and be more natural. In fact, the only time he is when he is colour-commentating.Comment

yes. way better. pavlik was a stiff athlete. there was nothing dynamic about him athletically and it showed in his cement feet during his fights.better talent, athlete, and boxer than prime undefeated Pavlik???

kovalev is clearly a better talent than undefeated or any version of pavlik.Comment

I agree with you bro.....All I'm saying is if B-hop age catches up to him.....If there is a fighter that can do that to B-Hop.....it's Kovalev. B-hop rarely gets hit flush.....however lets say he is a bit slower, reflexes aren't good and his age finally catches up to him.
Given an inch/opportunity......it's definately possible if Kovalev lands flush.
FWIW it seems all of these ATG fighters with Iron chins all lose the same way.....Age catching up to them and either getting stopped or getting KO'd.
Again not saying that will happen.....but it sure is possible.
This.....However people get too caught up with what fighters look like on paper.
So while Kelly was the more accomplish fighter.....no way in hell is he the better fighter based off the eyeball test and how they look in the ring.Comment

i buy this a lot.Bernard being Bernard. Every interview he does is antagonistic and/or self-aggrandising, even when he's in GBP Partner mode and is at a fight not involving him.

he was in full self promotion ATG boxer dbag mode tonight. he was also playing mind games with kovalev and it showed. kovalev i felt looked somewhat flustered at hopkins answers and it showed in a lot of his answers. he kinda blanked out and couldnt speak english and had to go back to his russian interpreter. awkwardly entertaining interview.Comment
