Oscar vs Pacquiao was more of a self-sacrifice than a cherry pick. Come on now who are you trying to fool?

              Chavez Sr vs Randall I

Chavez didn't want to fight Jake Rodriguez because he had a hard time with Whitaker and didn't want to fight another lefty that actually trained with Pernell.

They went with Randall instead that had drug problems and was inconsistant

That's about it from me this morning
McClelan vs Benn was not a cherry pick

Mclcelan was going up in weight for the first time to fight one of the top guys at that weight

                  Hometown cooking.....

See. This idiot has gone too far. Gerald is from my hometown. Benn was lucky and got hometown cooking in that fight. Not only that. He repeatedly hit G in the brain stem and that's why he's paralyzed. He should've been disqualified long before Gerald collapsed. Matter of fact, the ref even helped Benn get back in the ring when he got punched out of it. Smh. The nerve of this guy.

DLH vs Pac for a few reasons.

Firstly, Pac was given zero chance in that fight by anyone. Ignore the historical revisionism by the psychotic Mayweather fans. Manny went into that fight as a huge cherry pick. People were not even that excited for that fight.

It was supposed to be Pac getting extremely well-paid ass whooping before coming back down 2 weight classes (to a division itself in which he had only fought in once - Lightweight). I even remember they had Pac wearing shoes and DLH not wearing any at the weigh-in face off to cover up the height disparity. People who weren't following the sport at the time view it through a later prism, when we know Pac is a legit welterweight - but not from THAT period, 2008 - when Pac had only one fight at 135. If you view it with 2014, it might even seem like a Pac cherry-pick - fighting a part-time fighter/promoter who is boiling down in weight. But in 2008, Oscar was doing the cherry-picking.

Secondly, Pac winning turned him into a huge star. Arum knew it and starts teasing GBP fighters with a Manny fight and huge payday. JMM left GBP. Shane (a partner in GBP) went. Ultimately, it didn't work but at one point, Arum was leveraging Pac and trying to crush GBP.

Another thing; Oscar has never really been the same since that fight. He started falling apart and even now, in his present state of sobriety, seems fragile. If Pac was Bernard, he'd be going around telling everyone he taken Oscar's soul
